Will Rondo gets any votes for MIP?

Most deserving candidates this season include Rondo, Granger (and Murphy), Millsap, Harris and Scola. I didn't mention Lee or Villanueva since they're both playing for new contracts. I guess the same can be said of Millsap, but he pretty much a back-up who's putting up good statistics.

Rondo didn't do anything special this year.

Second year as the starting PG with all those weapons and championship experience.

IF he learned to **** shoot maybe he'd get an honorary vote.

He doesn't deserve to be mentioned for this at all.

Me too. When a Championship team, misses you more than they miss Kevin Garnett(Yeah we have won some games without KG, but we just look HORRIBLE without Rondo), than I think you'd deserve some votes on this.

Yeah, I could see Granger getting it. But Rondo should get some votes, at least.

My votes go to Rondo and Perkins. My third vote could go to Davis.

Poll by Jeff Clark of CB

Seems like as good a time as any to haul out the end-of-season awards. We'll start with the Most Improved player award, to be decided by you. Here are some candidates (links on player names go to career stats pages):

Rajon Rondo: By all accounts, Rondo made "the Leap" this year. Last year he was a starter and a huge contributor to a Championship team, but there were days when he looked very much the 2nd year player that he was. This year, he's been much more consistent and one of the main driving forces behind the team's success. His stats are up across the board but I'm most impressed with the increase of assists (from 5.1 to 8.4).

Probably not. But he has made great strides this season and the team is much better with him then without him.

This is an award I just don't understand. I always thought it was basically for someone who went from crappy to good more than very good to great.

I think Rondo is pretty much as expected, same as Perk, they progressed as players.

Harris and Milsap are both really good candidates. I think Stuckey and Sessions are as well. Kind of system guys but I think that Nate Robinson and Kelenna Azubuike would get some run.

Apparently Rondo got some surprise impartial support from a voter T. Heinsohn of Needham, MA.

Haha. Yeah I think Tommy will assure that a Celtic has at least 1 vote in each category.

Watch Ariza come out of no where and win it just to spite boston. I dont think anyone has made that huge of a jump like he did this year. He went from scub on a bad team (orlando getting what 2 mins a game) to starting SF for possibly the best team in the league while scoring what 17 PPG as a starter.

Lol he is about as big of a scrub as Rondo is. They are both doing the exact same role but at difrent position. You must not know much about the Lakers if you dont think Ariza is a big part of us wining and beating both the C's and the Cavs this year.

I'm not going to discredit anything Rondo has done this season but I don't think his overall improvement is as significant as that of Danny Granger's or Devin Harris'.

I say, Granger, Millsap or Rondo or no one. Indiana, Utah and Boston would be worst off this season without their improved play, in my opinion.
