I cant believe that KG will not be playing in the play offs..

He may not play the first round but i expect to see him for the end of the 2nd round and the Eastern finals..

Hopefully he does for the sake of some great games.

I think this announcement by the Celtics management is a hoax.

So do u guys expect KG to pull a Willis Reed.

We have to be realistic here because you know things are bad if KG is going to miss the playoffs. If there was any way he could play he would. Two months later the guy cannot run so I do not see him healing in 2 weeks or a month. I have accepted that KG is done for the year.

I dont know what to think anymore, hes gotten better, then worse and reports have been all over the place from the get go...

I dont know how they were so confident he would be back to then basically announcing hes shut down

I'll keep my fingers crossed, we need KG and its gonna drive him nuts not being on the court

You mean a Paul Pierce V.2?

Yes. Please don't compare him to Willis. Marbury is going to win you guys a game here and there, and KG is going to come back CEF, which gives the Celtics a blot of energy and they win the title, while ESPN has the whole So this is what it would've looked like in Minny? Story, and Marbury can go to D'Antoni and Walsh and rub it in their face.

And Knicks get #1 pick.

Perfect season for me. GL to you guys (mainly for Stephon).

if we can extend our run to the late 2nd round/ECF i wouldn't be surprised to see him at all. They say he is @ 70% in another 2-3 weeks that might be enough to get him on the court.

that is the most optimistic one should get.

I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see him play game 7 against the Magic and then play against the Cavs.

We wont hear anything until we get past the bulls, then i assume they will re-assess...

the longer we can extend our run without him, the better

by contract
There would be no point to rolling KG out there. It would take him a good month to work the rust off at that point.

No chance. I hate to be such a downer about this, but I really wish we had a first rounder right now so I could look at some draft sites.

The problem isn't the tendon in the knee its the bonse spur rubbing up against it. In saying that the only way to get rid of the pain and inflamation all together is to remove the bone spur.

I see a Paul PIerce for KG this year. I honestly feel the injury is BS. The way they came out and said he was unavailable was BS. Even the bulls dont believe it, there's an article on the Suntimes saying that the bulls are still game planing as if Garnett is playing because they dont buy it. If Garnet plays and its on some Willis Reed type stuff, then man this franchise is a joke. I dont know of any franchise that fakes injuries just to be the center of attention. I honestly feel KG will play, he'll probably play off the bench but look for him to come with 5 minutes left in the first, mark my words.

I don't know if he'll be back or not. But if he did, even if he were rusty the energy he would put into the Celts would be huge.

He'd be the rallying cry. Let's win this for KG!

The longer we go without KG going in for surgery, the better the chances. If he stays out of surgery until the ECF, I bet he'll play against Cleveland.

Its funny how peps just dont believe that this guy is hurt.
I mean come on, you would think that a franchise like the Cs or any other team would go out of their way to claim that he is hurt and then his not.
Honestly I think he is hurt but if this is a lie then the Cs org. is going to look really bad for misleading their fans and the league.

Maybe it's the wrestling fan in me, but I feel like we haven't seen the last of KG this season. I'm really hoping that he's not as bad as they thought, and that he will be back at some point during the playoffs.

I also don't understand how he was able to play on this knee last month for a few games, but now he can't even ride a bike? If they brought him back for those games, clearly they should've seen some problems after he played right? I mean I would assume playing in a game is harder than riding a bike, and it took about four games before they decided to shut him down again.

I think this injury has been overstated and that he could very well be back for the playoffs. It just doesn't make sense that he can have gotten worse in the last month as opposed to better.

I agree there's something fishy going on

Lets look at the facts

We have ZERO video of KG workouts
There have been no media interviews with KG himself regarding the injury
The given quotes have not ruled out the possibility of him playing

We definitely would have heard from an inside source about what was really going on if they werent trying to keep something under wraps. Bill Simmons wrote in his column that he couldnt get in touch with anyone in the organization about the matter. Something is going on here
