I HAVE A FEELING GARNETT WILL RETURN SOONER THAN SOME THINK

Post#1 » by DieselCeltic » Tue Apr 21, 2009 3:45 pm

Let's face it. KG is injured. How badly nobody knows. Can KG play right now. Probably not NOW. Will he have a surgery ? Yes he most likely will in the off-season, but I'm telling you man, if he's anywhere close to 80% we will see him in these playoffs. Celtics are being honest with the fans and media about his injury. You just have to wait it out, period.

Some funny strange things I saw last night:

If someone has a serious injury they cannot be explosive and even sit up without being helped. Last night, I closely watched KG was almost jumping from his seat when Allen nailed that 3-pointer...

THEN he is seen HEAVILY limping as he was coming to Rondo's rescue ?? he jumps up like a maniac and causes havoc then limps on his way to the court... :o strange things are happening I'm tellin ya.

When do I expect KG to return: when we really really need him By this time, his knee could get better but regardless of what happens, surgery is a must.

So Doc & Media etc can all say KG is done, HE'S NOT.

I am holding out that he can play as well he did play up to 20 mins just a couple of weeks ago and was solid in that time. What happen since then? his movement was not great but nothing from what i read suggest he aggravated it. I would think he is better since that period but then again nothing seems to suggest his knee has shown any improvement since then. The you have the strange way doc has been talking about it so I really don't know what to make of it.

Im keeping my fingers crossed theres no reason to bring him back now but if we advance possibly to the ECF I see him coming back.

I've maintained that if the Bulls have two wins when the series goes back to Boston, KG will play game 6 at least, possibly game 5. Just a paranoid Bulls fan here though. Between The Pats and Celtics, New England is pretty famous for disinformation.

I think he can play, probably 18-20 mins but the problem is when can he play again?

There is 3 days till game 3 with 3 days off until game 4. but then it is back to 2 days between games for 5, 6, 7.

Obviously if we get behind the 8 ball at some point and we are facing elimination then the waiting game ends but my guess is they hold out for a game 7. But chances are at that point he may be done again.

I don't KG to something to ruin his time in Boston for a series win.....that would be stupid. I know the C's won't allow it.

What would be the point of KG coming back? Risking further injury so we can beat the Bulls and get bounced in the 2nd round (or best case scenario, in the ECF)? Why?

disinformation has a nuanced difference from outright lying. The most immediate example is PP being taken off in a wheelchair and coming back in the same game (not nearly as bad as Wade's wheelchair exploits...wtf?).

Doc in his past stops has also been known to try to disguise or misdirect the media/teams. There's nothing overtly WRONG with it, but it's certainly something to be considered when evaluating statements.

Not only that, it was proven that the Pats didn't lie or do anything every other team doesn't do...they just got made an example of, is all...

**** all the trolls!

I thought I was pretty passive in my post, my apologies if I struck a nerve. If you'll notice I didn't condemn anyone or even really claim any accuracy, I said they were famous for it.

No, it's just that we're so tired of hearing about the stupid wheelchair. Phil Jackson got his panties all in a bunch and all of a sudden everyone harps on it. No hard feelings, though, dude!

Huh? No one has said KG needs a knee replacement, only that he can't play ball at an NBA level without pain or possibly worsening the injury. I think KG can walk/sit/stand and even jump occasionally without requiring assistance. Doesn't mean that he is exaggerating an injury.
