Just wondering, how many people watch the Celtics during the tough, non playoff seasons? I know a few Celtic fans that don't follow the team when they aren't doing so well. Or they don't watch as many games.

I always watched the team. Ever since I first became aware of the game as a kid, but I didn't watch them as much 10 years ago as I do now. I think that it was the 2001-2002 team which really recharged my batteries.

They were really kinda fun to watch when they were losing. I always thought it was interesting to watch players I thought (and hoped) would be great develop on a night to night basis.

Yeah, I'd say I watched slightly more games when we were losing. When you're winning certain matchups just aren't interesting to you anymore and you can skip them expecting a win. When you're losing all the time, you want to watch the games against the good teams to see how your players match up, and you want to watch the games against the bad teams, because you know you'll have a real shot at winning.

I was the loser that didn't have the nba package and watched the games on line with the in game updates. I think that gives an idea of my fandom. Now the last three seasons I have had the package and missed a total of probably 3 games.

I watch every season like any other. It is an honor to be a Celtic fan for over 29 years.

I watch every season, from my birth to now, no matter how great or **** we are. I did the same with the Pats and Sox, which is why all the success is bittersweet..it's great for the team and fans and New England, but sucks because now all of those teams (and now the Bruins, who I used to follow) have all the fake pink-hat fans now...

I use to HATE the Celtics and cheer for them to lose when I was in middle school because my Brother liked them. I used to like the Magic and was called the Magic Fanatic lol. After Shaq left I secretly liked the Cs until 2001 when every shirt I owned was a celtics shirt. So ya Ive watched just about every game since 00-01. Only being 23 last year was the first championship I saw.

Ive been watching for the last 15 years or so, when I was little I was obsessed with the team. I had the Chauncey Billups and Ron Mercer jerseys, the team was exciting when they were young. I honestly havent missed many games since 03.

I've been watching the Cs since the early 1980s.
I've been through the good times in the 1980s and remember Reggie Lewis, the Antoine years, etc...
Hell, I even know who Dino Radja is and believe he was severely underrated!

I been watching the Celtics play since 1998 or 99 I don't remember much. I was like 9 at the time and I just fell in love with the team, and have watched every season after that, except last years...I was in Brazil without internet and did not watch a single game...grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.... =[

In the beginning I didn't really get to watch them very much, the games were not on TV much and I didn't live in the area. My first "live" games were finals on the radio.
Does checking the box score every morning in the paper after a game count? West coast games took another day to get in.
Does anyone else remember how exciting it was if they had a little paragraph about the game instead of just a box score?
And my dad wins the prize, he was a fan before they ever won a championship.

I did. I loved watching Big Al, Rondo, Telfair, Green and Gomes. One of my favorite moments was when Big Al hit that hoot shot in the inbound pass to beat Miami.
I miss Gomes and Big Al.
