Ratliff >>> Mighty Moore
Don't you guys wish we still have Ratliff? It's too bad that the Celtics (Doc) don't incorporate Moore into the offense because I've seen nice shots from him like the little baby hook shot inside. In Doc's playbook, Mr.Moore is pretty a useless twig out there. I watch Ratliff's play in the playoffs and his defense is really good. We could really use his defense and toughness inside right now. Oh well, just a wishful thinking.

I think I'd rather have Dale Davis or Kelvin Cato. He's aweful.

Re: Ratliff >>> Mighty Moore
Lots of players >> Mikki Moore.
And you realize Ratliff was paid something like 12mil per when he was with us and was one of the key cogs in the Garnett deal, right? Sure, as a vet min guy he would have been good, but notthing special. He's a dime a dozen now, it isn't 2002.

Re: Ratliff >>> Mighty Moore
Moore has a fantastic shot. It's just too bad that he has been too scared to shoot it. I think he still has the stink of Sacramento on him. Mikki Moore will have a good game in this series.
I disagree with the premise of this post. Ratliff is shot. Have you seen him play? At least Mikki gets his money's worth when he hacks.

Too bad he wanted to be in Denver. No idea why he would choose them over the C's.

Re: Ratliff >>> Mighty Moore
He didn`t choose Denver. Ainge decided to go anther way. He wasn`t in good shape when he worked out for the C`s and that was probably the reason Ainge decided against him. But he is playing phenomenal!
Ratliff is also playing great, so that is even more depressing.
I would rather have Kevin Willis than Moore. I think Willis at his age is still better...

Frankly, no. Ratliff, Pollard, Magloire, Mutumbo, all the old and/or injury prone guys, the last thing the Celtics need is yet another fragile Big, or one that can't play large minutes. Love him or not, at least Moore can be expected to pull his uniform on tonight.

Re: Ratliff >>> Mighty Moore
Why do people want to focus on our 5th big as a reason for the Cs struggles? Any scrub that would have filled that position would not have made a difference IMO. Could someone have been better than Moore? Of course, not hard to achieve that status. If Pierce/R.Allen/Rondo all click, the Cs win...It really is that simple.

Screw Ratliff. When we had him he was injured most of the time. Also, Wally Sczerbiak ... couldn't play for sh*t and now he's beastin down in Crabland.

it's weird you should post this because i was thinking the same thing last night. Don't forget though that without ratliff's K there is no KG. Theo was a bust when he was with us he played 2 games and took our money. Basically he spent the year rehabbing with us. I live in the Philly area and know that he always wanted to come back here since he played well here under larry brown. I think he felt he had unfinished business in Phladelphia after he was traded for mutumbo. ANyhow he is a better player than Moore and would have helped us- no question

Not only that, if it weren't for injuries, Moore would be seeing 5-10 min a game as the 10th guy off the bench. He's forced into extended PT (thus showing his limitations) because at this point we have no other option...
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

1. he is your first big off the bench
2. Rondo, Allen, and Pierce can't do it all, that means that we are a parameter team, ala NJ when they had kidd/carter/jefferson.
you need a big that would help you move the ball in and out, otherwise you are just swinging the ball and causing TO for eay layups.
I think it isn't just Moore, Perk has to mature, I know he has been really good for us, but he needs to learn to pass out of the block (he is good at other passing) and he needs to learn to deal with double teams. He got double teamed couple times by chicago and screwed it up.
As for scoring, both Moore and Steph have to take more shots and look to score.

My point is your 10-12 guy is not going to be a difference maker regardless of who they are.

No kidding, all Ratliff was when he was here was an expiring contract as trade bait...
And Wally is playing better for the Crapaliers than he ever did here...**** ****!

Not true. As bad as scal is, or people want to think he is, he always did better at coming in and helping when needed. He matched or exceeded peoples expectations. Moore and Steph haven't done that, at least not at helping the team WIN.
