Fantastic reading and I agree with him 100% that Pierce is cooked. Doc should have limited his minutes during the second half of the season after we lost home court advantage to the Cavs.

One more thing...the Ray Allen>>Reggie Miller thing was dead on..Ray is much better than Miller..that's a fact...and the Noah part had me rolling...hahaha...I loved it..Noah sucks(unless he is on the Celtics)...

Huh. I don't proclaim him to be great by any measure, but the guy can rebound and is an efficient scorer and defender. He's got a 16.5 PER and averages nearly 7 & 8 in only 24 minutes a game. He's a far better rebounder than Perkins and has a much higher PER.

I can think of far worse centers.

But that's not why I am writing about him. In last week's MVP column, I mentioned that the 2008 playoffs and 2008-09 season cemented Allen's reputation as a Hall of Fame shooting guard, pushing him past the Moncrief/Dumars/Maravich/Monroe group and right next to Reggie Miller historically. A number of readers disagreed, which I expected for the simple reason that Allen is underrated and Miller is overrated.

Simmons is out of his ******* mind if he thinks Reggie Miller even sniffs those other four. "Right next to Reggie Miller" would be a serious downgrade from Moncrief/Dumars/Maravich/Monroe. Overrated indeed.

OK - Tim "The Postmaster General" Thomas is even funnier!

I'd say about 90% of us Bulls fans hate him anyways.

Everything he said about Noah described exactly how I feel about Varejao. Except I'm pretty sure I wouldn't even want him on my team.

One of the best Simmon's pieces I've read in a while. The part about Noah is dead on in every way, including I would love him if he played for the Celtics.

Good read, I was laughing my ass off about Joakim Noah "the girl" and KG the F** 100 "Wilt". Some Simmons observations are spot on, some a bit off, but nonetheless entertaining read.

Sure.
I think he is overrated and with the Bulls I think he has underachieved from what was expected of him. I think Tyrus Thomas is ten times better than Noah.
Too skinny for his position, he's not athletic, no jumpshot whatsoever, he is not explosive, not a good rebounder.
He will he ever be dominant offensive player that some people think he is or will be. He is a good backup with energy and hustle.
I think the only reason he was drafted so high was because of his N.C he won in Flroida.
Thats all.

Thats because he is a complete replica of Varejao........ I thought I was alone on this.

Sports Guy is a sports tool. Is there really a point to reading his articles?

Fair enough, I could live with that.
I gave you my reasons, what are yours for disagreeing with me?
Also Magilla_Gorilla said that Noah is a far better rebounder than Perkins and has a much higher PER.
than Perkins. True. But Perkins was drafted 27th by Memphis then to you guys, Noah was 9th.
Would you take Noah at 9th over Perkins if it they were both in the same draft? I wouldnt, I think Perkins is a much better ALL AROUND player for his position than Noah. Even though Perkins has his flaws I still think he is a better all around player than Noah.
As I posted my reasons earlier and thats why I think he is overrated and honestly if I had the 9th pick I wouldnt waste it on Noah.

Sure it does, lets take Kwame Brown for example.
He was drafted N#1 and guess what he sucks, same goes for Noah, he was drafted 9th and he has yet prove his value.
If he was drafted lets say 20th or bottom of the first round then we wouldnt be having this conversation, he wouldve been just an average NBA player.

Monroe and Maravich? Really?
