BBD in the Bulls series

I haven't seen much love for BBD, just thought I'd post his averages for this series,
17ppg, 8rpg, 2.8 apg, 2spg, 1.5bpg, 1 turnover per game.
.422 fg%, .778 ft%
Pretty good numbers aside from the fg% for a second year second rounder forced into a starting role and big minutes due to injuries. He had a poor shooting performance in game 4 (50% through the first 3) but still pulled 11 rebounds. I just don't get the lack of appreciation BBD gets in general for the way he has stepped up when they really needed someone.

He has been playing well however you are only as good as your last game and yesterday he was awful.

Not bad at all.....seems he's being made the scapegoat....

He was dreadful in game 4 but he was really good in the first 3. Hopefully yesterday was the exception!

I don't like to point fingers......Doc had me concerned in his rotations. I would have liked him to play House more...Starbury more. He seems to get stuck in a rut sometimes and that can hurt the team. You have to show the Bulls different looks. Rest the starters more no matter the score.

He has been good but he missed three lay-ups in crunch time that would have sealed it for us...He is a good backup center/PF but he will always be affected by longer players with length like Tyrus Thomas...overall I like big baby and everything he brings. I would love to bring him on next year for the right price. I think DA is going to pass on him because he might command a little more than the C's are willing to spend and I am ok with that. We seem to be following the patriots model.
I still think not signing posey was a great move by DA. I havent seen many hornets games but they were looking to him to score in bunches in the 2nd unit and he was flopping bad. Posey is strickly a role player that can spot up and play solid D. you don't pay guys like that substantial money.

Exactly. He sucked in game 1..and he KILLED us in game 4. Missed like 451 lay ups in the game, and had a laughable Mark Blount type of performance...

BBD had 11 boards, a steal, and only 1 turnover in game 4, his shooting did suck though. 11 rebounds procured more through hard work than height is hardly a Blount-like performance, comparing Baby to Blount is a complete discredit to how hard Baby plays.

He was brilliant in game 3 and horrible in game 4. He has been playing pretty well for a couple of months now, so we have to be happy with his production...

He's been awesome. Anyone that expected Glen Davis to play 41 minutes a game and play this well is expecting way too much. He missed a couple shots; it happens.

Well I meant offensively. He looked like Blount out there offensively..

The jumpshots I can deal with. But all the missed lay ups in CRUCIAL points of the game were killers...

Yup. I'm a Baby hater and I have nothing to complain about this series. With KG and Powe out, Scal concussed, and Mikki lurking on the bench, Baby has done a pretty damn good job holding his own on both ends and staying out of foul trouble. Definitely showing some mental toughness in this series...

cosign this...
reguarly i hate BBD...i just don't think he's good, but he's certainly stepped up to the plate tremendously, i can't ask more than that, especially when the bench puts up single digits

Baby goes from having probably the best game of his entire career (game 3) to having one of the worst games of his career (game 4). When he's good he's good, and when he's bad he's bad. He needs to be more consistent.

He's played very well. He was due for a stinker given his elevated level of play, and it sucked that his missed those bunnies at a critical juncture in the game, but that's how it goes sometimes.

Great bench player that has to play a bigger role than he will ever be capable of. Regarding the circumstances I'm pretty happy how he's doing.

I don't know. He has looked like a very capable player to me. Remember, he is doing this in the playoffs, not the regular season.
I'm so ticked off that we didn't win that game last night! I can't believe Doc took out BBD and replaced him with Tony with just a couple minutes left in regulation. What a dumb move by Doc!
Anyway, BBD is CLUTCH. This kid is a money player. His looks are very deceiving. This kid can play. We must re-sign him. Not at all cost, of course, but a reasonable 4 year deal.
I wonder if there are still any BBD haters out there that think he sucks.

Baby has played damn well in this series...it is *not* because of him we're struggling...
