Here's a more realistic version of the poll.

My vote goes to Perk, who was super-solid all game -- at BOTH ends of the floor -- except for a couple of offensive bobbles in the second quarter.

while i do like your version more, i think people who missed the game won't realize that pierce was the MAN in OT...and might vote based on stats.

Like I said in the other thread we needed everything from everyone but there is no overtime without Perk and I still loved that block on Rose.

Can't do everything. I also didn't include stats for the guys guys defended, which often are a big factor in my voting. (This game is an exception, because I thought Noah played GREAT, and hence didn't downgrade Perk for Noah's big rebounding numbers.)

I also didn't include the fact that defense was more important than offense down the stretch. ;)

Perk all the way. He just came up with huge block after huge block. My buddy and I thought it was some sort of type that he had no fouls. Perhaps the best game of his career. It's pretty amazing that Rondo and Perk have been the C's two best players in this series. Go Celts

While Rondo continues to be the best player on the court and Pierce really saved them late in the game. I had to go with Perkins, he was just a monster yesterday.

Rondo could get it every game, but at a certain point that becomes like voting for Jordan for MVP. Some variety is desirable for its own sake. ;)

Perk! He was a BEAST!

And this is the stat of the day:
Kendrick Perkins placed his name in august company with an odd accomplishment, if you can call it that, in the Celtics' 106-104 overtime win over the Bulls. Perkins played 48 minutes without committing a personal foul. The only other starting centers to do that in an NBA playoff game were Wilt Chamberlain (five times) and Bill Russell (twice).

The best part about Perk's performance was he was a little rocky in the first half. Listening to Doc this morning he was talking about how guys were going to fast and trying to do to much and win the game themselves. It is funny how often Doc talks about the game like he is playing Perk in a video game.

I do think my favorite thing was how he continued to stomp around and react to fouls like he was robbed when the fouls weren't even on him talk about a teamate.

OK. That's just amazing, given how often he mixed it up with rebounds, blocks, other defense, post moves and, yes, screens.

I was going to vote for Rondo, but Pierce was just too big down the stretch.

Why isn't Perkins listed with a victory cigar in the game thread?

It's a 14-14 Pierce/Perkins tie as I post this.

The other thread purporting to be a poll is worthless, as it didn't list Perk.
