LBJ top 4 players: him, Kobe, Wade, Pierce

Post#1 » by Al-Haqq » Thu Apr 30, 2009 10:14 am

James groaned when recalling defending Pierce during last year's seven-game playoff series loss to Boston, explaining that once Pierce received the ball at the right elbow -- his "spot" -- it was impossible to defend him, no matter how closely James shadowed. That's exactly what Pierce did against the Bulls on Tuesday night, helping the Celtics grab a 3-2 series edge against Chicago with a 106-104 win. "There's nothing you can do about it," James said. "Defensively you can be one of the best in the league, but once guys like that get in that zone. . . . There's a few guys we have in our league -- I think four of the best are myself, Kobe, Paul and Dwyane -- once we get to that spot, it doesn't matter who is on us." So what's James' "spot?" "Every part of the court," he said, smiling. Cleveland Plain Dealer

And they say Pierce is a cocky bastard....yeahhhhhhhhhh...like this LeCock boy isn't..

I think Pierce is more unstoppable than Wade when he gets going. Wade faster and can get to the hoop better, but he doesn't have the pull up jumper like P does....

Pierce may be harder to stop from actually scoring but Wade just kills you from the charity stripe.

I don't have a problem with LeBron being cocky at all, I mean c'mon now is he supposed to deny it? I didn't have a problem Magic, Jordan, and Bird being cocky either. Besides maybe the early Bulls and some of those Knick teams around Ewing I can't think of a team that is this good built around one player, the Cavs without LeBron probably couldn't win 30 games.

Yeah. That's why I prefer Pierce..he is a better shooter. Yet Wade(my second non Celtics fav player along with CP3) is 'flashier' with the crosses and crazy lay ups/dunks...that's why the popular opinion has him better than Pierce.
But no...I'm not saying he should deny it..I'm just sayin that people say Pierce is cocky(which he really is) yet I have never heard anybody say LeBron is... :-?

You have to be cocky to be as good as Lebron is. Yea, I'd rather see humility in situations like this, but it is pretty much par for the course.

I'll give props to Lebron for giving Pierce love, though. You really gotta respect the guys that are actually fighting it out against each other in the trenches when they say something. Except when it's Ron Artest that's saying it. ;)

If you think Lebron is cocky then you should take a look at Rondo. He is probably the most cocky player in the league. LoL...he challenged Husein Bolt to a race!

Lebron is a beast. I am just glad the celtics got number 17 before Lebron starts winning a ton of championships. Its only a matter of time. To me Lebrons supporting cast is still not even that good and look how nasty they are. Lakers are the deepest team in the league and I think the Cavs will still take them because Lebron is too much. If we were full strength this year with Powe and KG I would feel very confident in the Celtics winning it all again this year especially with the emergence of Rondo and Perk.

Its cool of Lebron to give Pierce that respect though.

Everybody knows he is good enough to be as cocky as he wants. Im just saying Pierce is too..and people complain and call him cocky and ****. Yet not LeBron...he is the 'humble superstar'...why is this?? I don't get it....

For anyone who follows brain types: (our gm certainly does and this was probably what led to the picks of Rondo and Perkins)

Some stars with the same braintypes out there from stuff I have acquired in the past few months over the internet:

Kobe and Pierce: at first I denied it, but when you think about it, it makes a lot of sense. Same deadliness late in games.

Lebron and Magic

Toine and Posey: funny how they were the ones suspended for conditioning issues in Miami.

Tiger woods and me: i still suck at golf.

Anyone else think it's weird that Pierce and LeBron both have 'Chosen One/1' tattooed on their backs? I don't think LBJ copied Pierce on purpose, but it's pretty strange.

I'm pretty sure it's a nike endorsed nickname. Like the WITNESS tatt that LeBron also has.

Pierce's tat is surrounding an angel, if I believe, and was because of his surviving the stabbing incident...

Pierce called himself the best player in the league, so I don't have an issue with the real best player saying he's in the top 5.
