ESPN OTL: Greatest series ever.

Post#1 » by Puertorique » Fri May 1, 2009 7:12 pm

Bulls fan here. Just saw something on ESPN's Outside the Lines and thought I would let you guys know also. It's a good thing not bad. Enjoy.

On ESPN's outside the lines the analyst both agreed that this is the greatest series ever. They pointed out that what makes this series so great is that it's not always the same people stepping up, it's the entire teams stepping up. Glen Davis, Joakim Noah, Rajon Rondo, Brad Miller, Ray Allen, Ben Gordon, Paul Pierce, Kirk Hinrich, Derrick Rose, John Salmons all these players have stepped up and shown something. Add in the 7 ot's it's been awesome.

I agree. This has been a great series and I can't think of another series that has been this great.

Bulls or Celtics win this has been a great series.

If the Bulls should beat us tomorrow night I'm going to be cheering them on the rest of the way, that is how much I have enjoyed this series (even if I'm going grey because of it).

I don't think it was a snub; it was more of them listing everyone they could and they happened to not say perk. Everyone in this series has had their moment good or bad. arg so much fun!!!
edit: btw perk has had 10 times the series miller has had lol.

Yes, between all the Yelling at the TV and cheering when Ray hits a 3---we are witnessing a truly Historic Playoff Series.

Bet ya'll can't top me. Last night, I got so upset & into it that I chunked my cell phone and it snapped into 3 different pieces.

I HATE close games. I'd much rather witness a blowout, they are so much more fun and relaxing to me lol.

Also doesn't help that I have high blood pressure already and these games just make it worse.

wtf

Lakers/Kings 02 WCF was better

games were played at a much higher level, better teams and better players with a trip to the finals at stake

these close games have been the result of a severely undermanned celtic team and a young bulls team that doesnt kno how to take advantage - lakers/kings was two powerhouses clashing

a good team would've disposed of the celtics like dallas did san antonio

and game 7 hasnt even been played yet so chill.. it could be a blowout

lakers/kings game 7 went to OT

This is exactly how I feel. This series is killing me. I think I'm going to need heart surgery when it's all over.

Whats weird to me is that people only remember the last Kings-Lakers games for poor officiating in the last games. In fact, the whole series was badly officiated with radical swings in officiating from game to game and FT attempts by which ever team was favored really effeting each game. At least the Celtics-Bulls series was really well officiated and there wasn't one game where fans really thought there team was screwed b/c the other team was getting all the calls.

That was a good series but can you honestly say it was better than the Celtics-76ers 1981 series? Greatest series I've ever seen from what I've seen of it along with having two of the greatest small forwards ever matching up against each other. You won't get much better basketball than that.

Return to Boston Celtics
