Prediction

Post#1 » by GWVan » Sat May 2, 2009 12:41 pm

With so many players rising to the occasion in this series it's inevitable that someone will completely catch everyone by surprise and have the game of his life in game 7. I've consulted my coffee grounds (Costa Rican - you KNOW they are accurate) and did a reading with my sons Pokemon cards and the answer has been revealed to me.

The hero of game 7 wil be..........

Brian Scalabrine

Can we turn this into a scalabrine appreciation thread?

his day will come b/c every dog has his day. I really feel that way - whether it's game 7 or some game down the stretch in the playoffs, this guy will deliver and the garden will go absolutely bonkers.

You know here's an idea that hasn't been discussed at all. Start Scalabrine.

When KG went down earlier in the season Scal started. Davis came off the bench. Scal provided solid defense and good offensive spacing. And Scal is simply more effective when he plays with the starters when they're fresh.

I know it won't happen but I think it's something worth considering for Doc. It would definitely help to have Davis to stabilize the bench.

OK, I'll bite: Big Baby goes for 18 points in the first half. Celtics are up through third, Bulls make crazy run to get within 5 with 5 left, Pierce and Allen put it away and Celtics win by 7. Rondo has another good game, too, but it's Baby who makes the difference by being the unlikely hero with 26 points and 11 boards.

That would be nice, too, but somehow I doubt Doc will give him many minutes tonight unless necessary.

Why is that odd? Do you doubt my ability to predict the future by reading Costa Rican coffee grounds?

Actually it wasn't that hard to predict - somebody from the bench had to step up or we probably would have been out. I went will Scals because he's done it before on the big stage.

Who knew it would the best playoff game for 4 different bench players? Even coffee grounds could not have foreseen that.
