Good Luck Leon!

Post#1 » by DJToLarry » Tue May 5, 2009 3:05 pm

Looks like a long road is ahead of him, didn't know microfracture was also involved. But we know he is going to work HARD!

....

The Celtics released a statement today saying forward Leon Powe had surgery on his injured left knee this morning.

Powe tore the ACL and meniscus in the knee during Game 2 of the C’s conference quarterfinal series with the Bulls on April 20.

The Celtics said that Powe “underwent successful ACL revision reconstruction with microfracture and cartilage repair at New England Baptist Hospital this morning.”

Celtics team physician Dr. Brian McKeon performed the operation and was assisted by Dr. Paul Weitzel and Dr. John Richmond.

The Celtics have set no timetable for Powe’s recovery. It is the third major knee surgery for the 25-year-old Powe, who will become an unrestriced free agent this summer.

My man Leon will work hard to get back and the Celtics will do the right thing and sign him.

I always tell everyone if he was healthy we would have beat the bulls much earlier than we did. He would have dominated their bigs. Too bad though.
