Rondo is the MAN!!!!!

After these playoffs, in my book he's 2nd or 3rd point guard in the NBA. His stats are just unreal. Rememeber, when trolls were saying he would never average triple-double against the Magic and Howard...well he just did... plus he dunked on their candy asses.

^ He's a type of a point guard who can lead you to a championship now. That's what he's doing right now.

People don't understand that we were without a true point guard since how long... how long have been we looking for a true point guard...for years it seems like...remember Kenny Anderson
This team will re-build with Rondo & Perk and maybe Davis. 3 guys who are highly playoff tested. Doesn't get better than this boys.

That's what I said but he is of the mindset that Rondo's value is high, so trade him now. I am of the mindset if he's playing so well, why not have him play so well on our team for another 5-7+ years?

^ I have a feeling even if Howard tried to block that Rondo was gonna dunk that anyways. That move was just unstoppable. I didn't know Rondo had that high leaping ability.
I know AI was great and still is but AI could never dunk like Rondo. Aren't they the same height ?

When Rondo is on his A game, we can play with anyone. He is that good. Yesterday was not his A game, as he acknowledged after the game. He missed several floaters he normally nails.
He is a top 10-15 player in the league right now, and his stock is rising. He needs to bring it every night, so even when his shot is not falling, like last night, he still leaves his mark on the game. When he does that he is a top 5 player in the league, and the best Celtic since Larry.
He is younger right now than when Larry was a rookie, by the way. Chris Paul is the exception. Most points, even great ones, take until they are 25 to hit their stride. Stockton, Payton, Kidd, Billups all took a few years to becomke all-stars. Rondo is ahead of schedule.
If we get past Orlando, the one thing that must scare the crap out of Cleveland is that if Rondo goes crazy, the Cavs can lose to the Cs. The Cavs have to hope he is inconsistent and mails in a game or two. If he hangs out the shingle, Superstar Resides Here, and decides 2009 is the year to put his face on Mt Rushmore, we could witness history.

Cavs point guards can't keep up with Rondo. Not Delonte, Boobs Gibsuck, and Depressed West.

To add to elrod's post, Rondo needs to make better decisions on what type of shot he needs to take. He probably would have had 25 points yesterday if he didn't feel the need to add degree of difficulty points to some of his shots. He also needs to do better in end of game situations. If he isn't going to drive the ball to the hoop, he needs to give the ball up to someone else.

And aren't Delonte and Depressed West the same? And I don't think it's too funny to make fun of his depression, man...

Not trying to sound like a b*tch bro, I suffered from depression too but now he's been an arrogant prick as of late. You do not make funs of your old teammates like he did when they beat us few weeks ago.

I musta missed that, what'd he say? I too suffered from depression, which is why I'm a bit sensitive to it.

The guy has immense talent, once he gains a bit more professionalism and consistency he could be a real superstar. It seems too often that we hear comments that he arrived relatively late for a game, or had a slow start because he was eating extra spicy food immediately prior to the game, eventually that nonsense stops. And on consistency, I just don't understand yet how he takes 12 free throws in one quarter this series, and in the other 7 quarters combined he takes a total 2. He can take the team on his shoulders when he puts his mind to it and sprint down the floor, or put everyone to sleep while he watches the ball roll up the floor. In spite of the stuff that drives me a bit crazy, he's my favorite player, it's great to see him playing as well as he is.

He was taunting C's players on the bench whle celebrating. I NEVER saw him shake hands with any of the C's players just like a WHATEVER tap. You see how Rashard Lewis and Ray Allen are cool, or any other previous temates always greet eachother...but this tattooed crook thinks playing with LeBron is soo cool he forgot how to say HI to his old teamates, even Doc Rivers.
Tommy Heinson also mentioned this few months ago.

Personally, I actually thought Rondo played just ok yesterday which makes me realize really how good he can be (triple double). I mean he literally hasnt hit a "jump" shot since game 4 of the Bulls series. I do think he will be a 15, 10, 6 guy for us. He seems to just throw his floater up sometimes like he isnt even trying to make it. And the only real negative i had yestrerday was he tried to score a little too much when he could have kicked it out for someone wide open. If he continues to develop a jumper, I have no doubt he will be the best all around point guard in the league. The kid is fearless though, trying to dunk on Howard in game 1. I have been hearing for the last two seasons that his stats are inflated because of who he plays with, and i insisted he would score 20 a night on a bad team. If we had KG i am not sure we would have lost a game yet in the playoffs. We know how much better Rondo is too with him on the floor. I think the biggest knock for Rondo other than the lack of offensive shooting, is his focus. His defense in the second quarter last game was unheard of. He would not let anyone go by him, but then there are times where he just looks uninterested. I am one of his biggest fans and biggest critics i think because i know he can be so good. Although i dont think it will ever happen, I think Rondo has just as much of a chance to avergae a triple double at some point in his career as LBJ does. I mean he is averaging one basically this playoffs in 9 games. I just want him to start shooting well so bad because then we will have a top 5 player on our team in my opinion. How many times this playoffs has he had to pull up late in the quarter for three and barely hit rim. Hopefully Ray keeps working with him and he develops a little consistency. Lets steal game 3 like we did in chicago and get back in the drivers seat.

he had a good game no question but IMO he still has a ways to go in terms of decision making and maturity. He tried to make several really difficult passes in the lane to Perk, ray and baby that he should never have thrown. In game one he did the same thing and that bad bounce pass to ray at the end of the game was a critical turnover. When he makes the simple play ( penetrate and dish) he's great but when he tries to be a hot dog it usually results in a turnover. I also am not a fan of his defense when he plays behind the man or fails to get over the pick. Rondo switching off of Gordon in game 6 and leaving Pierce ( who was completely unprepared for the switch) was a critical mistake and cost us that game and last night he allowed alston to get into the paint a few times that he could have prevented. His focus isn't always there as in the first half of game one. So as great a talent as he is I see a lot of room for improvement,

What did Tommy say about Delonte? I don't know if I believe that about him. I remember Doc coming out and really being concerned for him and all that as well as most of the players.
I think when it comes to the games Delonte is a gamer and he really locks in to the game and blocks out all that stuff. I don't think thats a bad thing.
I don't have any problem with players on opposing teams celebrating and congratulating their players and all that but I can't stand when they do all the stuff for the cameras to get attention. That is where the Cavs crossed the line IMO. You shouldn't be celebrating like that in front of cameras and all that. It's just not cool, you gotta be humble about it and act like you've been there. Teams don't forget ish like that.
