We need tonights win....

Post#1 » by celticsnut » Fri May 8, 2009 2:02 pm

Why do we need tonight's win so badly? We have not won a Sunday game in months. Game 4 will be played on Sunday, thankfully it wont be a day game. I also want to be sure Rondo plays extra tough tonight because we tend to get lacadazical when other teams are missing key players.

They are all big games but it is just the difference between playing up hill or down hill. We need back to back wins to take this thing and regain home court, take it while its there.

I don't feel that it's a must win. But it sure would be nice.

We need to win the next two because game 7 IS on a Sunday afternoon.

We have some advantages going into tonights game that hopefully we can capitalize on. Their starting PG isn't playing, and PP should be well rested and have his legs.

I expect to see a lot of PP isolation plays. Let's hope he does better in those than he has been so far during this postseason. Paul needs to keep his head up and instead of fighting through all the double teams, he needs to hit the man rolling off the pick and look out to the 3 pt line for RA and Eddie to bury some long range baskets.

It's not a must win, but one I think we have a good shot of winning to get the home court back.

If we win game 3 in Orlando, we win the series. Hands down.
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

Boston came back and beat Detroit in game three last year and they've beaten Chicago in game three in the first round. I think Boston could win this game three. It certainly takes the pressure off... Redick will remain the starter... Ray has to get off to a good start offensively. Ditto for Pierce. And Rondo must be aggressive and attack the basket and take it to Howard. Maybe draw some fouls on him.

I hope Boston can win tonight convincingly. No close game or Turkoglu heroics.

Every game is a must win in my opinion. I was reassured after Rondo's slow and lacking start to game 1, that he said "that would never happen again" ... so I expect him to come out guns blazing, but it's important we're out fast and running with Paul and Ray leading too.

Oh, I really, really hope Marbury shows up in this game and Perkins stays out of foul trouble.
