http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/playoffs/ ... id=4151931Courtney Lee will be coming off the bench tonight. I think it's a safe bet his ass will be glued to Eddie.
In other news Van Gundy can't help himself:
"The question everybody has is, 'Why when Brad Miller is going to the hoop, can you just take a swing?' You know, the only ones I think that agree that he didn't wind up and follow through were Stu Jackson and David Stern. I think everybody else, including Boston fans, know he wound up and followed through."
Nice one. The whining never stops. We should all appreciate the fact that we have a classy, no excuses, positive-minded coach rather than a whiny, get-off-my-lawn moustachio.

Stan Van Gundy is a clown, plain and simple. Nobody cares what he thinks...not even his players. I've never heard a whinier guy in the huddle than Van Gundy. The only thing Van Gundy inspires is apathy. Orlando will never go anywhere with him as coach.
He should be fined for these comments, obviously.

I am starting to think that Riley was very smart when he asked this guy to step down as a the Heat Coach.
When they introduce the celtics for game 5, they should come from behind the magic bench and just slap all of them on the head on the way to the court. Lets see what he as to say about that.

If Rafer gets suspended for a love tap then Rondo should have been suspended for swing....and for throwing Hinrich.
That was all he was saying.

That was all he was saying.
1. Most of us celtics fans thinks that Rafer shouldn't have been suspended.
2. Rondo slap was during a play
3. Rafer action were uncalled for and simply unprofessional
My favorite part of that thing is Rafer excuse that House took a swing at him (or something like that) and you could see House was no where near him. It isn't as good as fisher saying he was trying to get through the pick in that play

You're missing two points:
1. One play was part of a basketball play, the other out of frustration after a play was over.
2. More importantly. A coach's job is to keep positive and inspire, not to whine and bring up a play from a previous series. Doc, or any other coach who chooses their words, would just admit it was a bone headed play by their player and even if they disagree with the league's decision they'll say the team can handle adversity and will keep playing hard. You need to inspire confidence in your players, not sound like a person who thinks he's always being screwed. Basic psychology.

Enough with this BS about Rondo and Hinrich if anyone should have been suspended it was Hinrich, he tried to start a fight. Everyone is such a bunch of tooties. Rondo was playing ball Alston was being a punk, his **** was weak and stupid, kinda like his coach. It looks like Shaq Fu was right about something.

yea, and Hinrich tried a stupid move the posession before on Scal and then on Rondo.
Rondo sent a clear message to Hinrich, don't push us around b/c we could do the same.

He's trying to get inside Rondo's head. Let's hope he doesn't succeed.

I love how nobody mentions that bitch Hinrich pulled Rondo from the ft line, all the way back to the 3 pt line before getting tossed...but all these little Orlando fans keep saying Eddie 'elbowed' Aston before the play...lmao....this is pathetic. People need to man the **** up and play some basketball...you don't want to get pushed around, thrown or hit then go play **** tennis...quit the **** whining..I can't stand this **** anymore. Hinrich isn't even on the Magic and they keep mentioning this ish over and over..give it a damn rest...it's not our fault the NBA didn't suspend Rondo for a playoff foul, but suspended Wafer Cookie for a bonehead slap...

Doc Rivers whining about the officiating about a week ago:
''Clearly, every game he's been targeted for these moving screens,'' Rivers said (excerpted from an article from Brian Hanley in the Chicago-Sun Times). ''I mean, he gets them every game. Watching the tape, he did move in the direction, but there was zero contact on it. Brad Miller is flying around and laying guys out on screens and didn't get [charged with a foul] -- that bothers me. Perk does do it. That's what the officials do -- they look at tapes, and they look at tendencies. Perk does move on screens -- but so does the other team.''

Every coach complains about officiating. This was from the same series, being concerned about a game-to-game trend. Stan was bringing up a specific play from a past series, insinuating that a player should have been suspended. Pathetic.

a week ago was the chicago series and doc had the rights to talk about that one.
You see it would be fine for SVG to say that Howard is being called for offensive fouls while perk isn't. That allen is pushing JJ and JJ is being called for the fouls. He should have been bothered by the fact that artest wasn't suspended for doing more than Rafer.

Eh, If I were him I wouldn't be calling Stern out by name. The commish never responds well to that.

He is talking about the game, not **** that happened in another series with another team, he was talking about his guy, his team, in the present. Van Gundy should be in Alston's punk ass face instead of crying about what happened in the Bulls series when ironically they had Miller get ejected and then not ejected from the game for doing exactly what Alston did. But I guess fatboy missed that one, guess he can't watch tape either.

The coaches actually have to complain about the officiating from time to time if only to make the refs and the league are pay attention.
SVG complaining about the stupid Rondo/Miller thing is just absurd. At worst he was trying to pull Miller down, preventing a layup. That is basketball. What Rafer did is how you start a street fight.
