I mean ... what's wrong with him? Everyone is citing fatigue.

Thoughts?

It's fairly an obvious answer, but he has barely been open. Ball movement has been atrocious, the defender covering Allen isn't even allowed to think about playing help defense (just like Cleveland's D strategy against us), and we aren't running in the open court as much.

I'd like to see more iso's with Ray on Redick, but they always crowd around him. Ray seems to be effective at creating his shot when he gets to within 10 feet of the rim.

Ray isn't magic when he plays against playoff defense?

He's a shooter. Never going to be the reason you won, but if other players can beat the team he knock down the open shot to finish the game off.

Banks I think you're wrong in your premises.

Ray is horrible at creating his own shot and our ball movement has been fantastic.

80% of our buckets are assisted and every play it seems Ray is running off double picks.

Ray still isn't open though because he's a shooter, if a team plays good defense they are going to stick with him. The Magic are exceptional perimeter defenders. Having a 6'10" SF as your PF helps with the quick rotations. Ray can always outrun his man, but the Magic will just rotate the next guy on him if they are trying and most of the time they successfully do so.

play calling and ball movement is AWFUL.

and when we do call a decent play, th e execution is also AWFUL.

I'd be more upset of Ray went 10/19 and we were down 2-1 because that means there is no room for improvement.

Well losing KG down low really cuts down our options.

Running screens for Ray Allen should be done early and often....he's taking too many 3's as the shot clock is expiring or rushed 3's off the break....he's never in any kind of consistent rhythm.
