and Glen Davis are pretty much the same level of player?

I was amazed at some of the posts here about 3 weeks ago. Your opinion had to have changed, correct? If so, come on down and fess up. It'll make you feel better.

On another note, Baby pushing the ballboy on the Magic bench as he's running after making a shot? Priceless.

I couldn't ever figure out why people were so excited that we got mikki moore. the only thing i was hoping for when it happened was that he'd rack up a lot of DNP-CDs in the playoffs. but then again, i was hoping it was because KG and Leon were back. sigh.

It seemed like a terrible idea at the time, but I never imagined he'd be THIS bad. Part of it is the lack of minutes, but he's not even hitting the jumpers now. He'll get you a tip in once in a while, but wow, he's awful.

Lost in all the nonsense about Joe Smith probably going to Cleveland and needing to strike fast to avoid being left empty handed....exactly who else was knocking down the door to sign Mikki Moore? If Smith goes back to Cleveland, then we can make a run at Gooden (I thought he'd be too injured to be worth signing - but he looked good for the Spurs); a scrub like Mikki Moore was going to be around as the last resort. And waiting so long that we don't bother with Mutombo, but not waiting an extra day or 2 to try to get Joe Smith...pathetic. And basically now we are left empty-handed.

I wanted Joe Smith, but i thought getting Moore would help us. I was wrong. Tonight, he was in the game for literally 15 seconds and left lewis wide open for a three. I almost threw the remote at the tv i was so pissed. The guy is just not a smart ball player.

You have to remember the situation at the time. We weren't trying to replace KG and Leon, the team was looking for a back up C to play behind Perk and some insurance for Glen Davis' cranky jumper which was the team biggest question mark at the time. Not only has the team lost both of its low post offensive options but the one thing we expected Moore to help with, open jumpers and an flushing bunnies have just not been a factor, Davis has been great and we have no one to open up the paint for the bunnies.

Moore was looking like a decent bench scrub when he was playing for that contract with the Nets and Kidd feeding him 2 years back. But now he's metamorphosed into a WNBA player

I thought he would be solid and have a decent mid range shot. He has been pretty bad tho. I feel bad for him tho, he really is a hard worker.

Moore is an upgrade to POB and we needed some size at the time. He was not supposed to be a starter.

For the period of time that he is in the game, he doesn't play with reckless abandon on the boards adn playing defense. That is really what the Celtics need from him. If he does this, the offensive part of his game will be jump-started as well because it will allow him easy put-backs around the basket.

To be honest people on this board keep saying that over and over and I don't think its true. POB would at least swat everything he was close to around the basket. I have never in my life seen a 7 footer with shorter arms than Mikki Moore. He has midget arms or something bc he can never get to shots to block them.

POB is young and all that but he is a lottery talent and I think if he would have gotten garbage time/DLeague play this year by the time the playoffs started he would have produced better/more than what Mikki is giving us now.

When we went to sign Mikki I remembered him from New Jersey days running the court and dunking with authority. I thought he would be decent but obviously he should not even be in the league. He has terrible hands like Blount. He is paper thin and gets pushed around way too easy. He draws fouls for everything. He is slow on rotations. Low bbiq...etc. I mean its pretty bad.

The only thing he has going for him is that he plays hard and with energy and supposedly he's a good guy. Man I wish we had Leon right now instead of him.

whatever game the guy once had it's gone. He's a bad fit for our team and hoenstly although I like some of the things Marbury does he hasn't helped much either. I have to say though that Marbury's D has been much better than advertised but jeez he must be shooting about 30%

That's even when he's shooting...he is deferring way too much, and right now the 2nd unit NEEDS scoring...

Mikki Moore was signed as a guy who could help defend Gasol and Big Z for spot minutes. Both Leon and Baby lack the length needed to bother those guys who both can shoot from outside. He really was a situational relief pitcher type acquisition. When KG and Powe went down the dynamic totally changed. We need somebody now and he just isn't cut out to guard Lewis or Howard.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."
