SVG is a Douche, Part 2

The man just doesn't quit.
"when you're playing Boston, I don't care if it's here or in Orlando. you're not going to get the calls."
Wow.
He goes on to talk about how you're not going to get the calls against the champs and insinuating that his players got fouled down the stretch.
Stan, do yourself and your team a big favor. When the opposing team outscore you 13-0 in the last 5 minutes of the game just acknowledge that it's on you and stop whining. What an unbelievable douche. On the other hand Dwight told it like it is in his post-game. He definitely didn't sound too happy with Stan but tried his hardest to keep it classy.

The Magic gave up a 14 point lead in the 4th.
Yeah, the refs had something to do with that.

The refs have been equally bad for both sides in every series. SVG needs to stop complaining and worry about his team giving away huge leads.

I'm so tired of that overrated piece of crap. He's not a good coach and whines like a 2 year old. I'm just so tired of Perk getting called for fouls, then Howard does more than Perk and nothing happens. Plus lets not forget how the refs called that 5th foul on Pierce on a terrible call.

As much as I dislike Bill Simmons, he nailed it on the head when he said SVG was a bad coach because he panics. He does...he is like a teenage girl, "OMG! OMG!" The guy freaks out and starts grasping at straws instead of remaining cool...no wonder he's a loser and one of the most disliked coaches in the league...he should stop running his **** mouth and start growing a set and coaching like a man!

SVG is smart not to expect to get calls against the Celtics. If he truly believes that he should be communicating it to his team and telling them to make plays, no matter what, because they will not get any breaks.
Instead he's leading the fragile young minds of Orlando towards an exit in six games in a series that everyone thought they would win on paper.

ya know when Shaq made those comments about Stan back in Feb or March I defended Van Gundy... Guess Shaq was right all along.

I remember Shaq said something, but don't remember what it was exactly...

Shaq nailed it. He said SvG was a frontrunner, that when the going gets tough Stan wilts.
i wondered wtf he was talking about at the time because i've always like SvG as a coach, but i think we're seeing it pretty clearly now.
It's just funny to watch how these two coaches deal with adversity. the magic are clearly a more talented team, but Doc's mentality is always to take responsibliity and rally the troops. SvG throws his team under a bus and says they quit playing. In crunchtime, which team has confidence? which team plays with poise and purpose? not hard to figure out.

If your still talking about Shaq in the second part, he's talking about when he played for Stan in Miami. A lot of people say Shaq had a big part in driving Van Gundy out of Miami after they lost in the 3rd round to Detroit. Which lead to Pat Riley coming in the next year, which lead to a championship.

I was thinking the same thing...Doc is his polar opposite, calm under pressure and able to take responsibility...

Here's another SVG quote from last night:
"“It doesn’t do us any good [to complain]. Look, you’re playing Boston, they’re the defending champions. That’s the way it is.”
What a wanker...
He also said "Hedo drove and was
pretty sure he drew contact..." (emphasis added)...
"Pretty sure"?

I said it before when he complained about the alston suspension and mentioned the brad miller instance.
The guy is gone after this season.
HIS best case scenario, they beat the Celtics and go on to play the cavs.
His bigs (hedo, lewis, howard, Tony and Garic(sp)) won't stand a chance against the cavs (lebron, Varejao, Z, Joe, and Ben).

Either way he's gone after this season. Who in their right mind would hire him? Has he *really* proven he can coach? He has coached two loaded teams well below expectations...

Donny Marshall called it awhile ago, even before Shaq's outburst, and before Gortat's interview in that Polish newspaper. Donny said he knew players on the Magic who told him that they don't enjoy playing for Ron Jeremy because he freaks out all the time. To the point where they don't even bother listening to him anymore during timeouts.

^He throws them under the bus all the time, too, blaming them for losses. REGARDLESS, a coach should ALWAYS take the blame in public and then talk for real behind closed doors...
