Will The Celtics Lose Game Six?

I have a very strong feeling the Celtics will lose game six. It seems to me that whenever they pull one out (in the playoffs) they follow it up with a clunker. Ever since that playoff game against NJ where the Pierce led Celtics came back from a 24 point deficit and proceeded to get blown out the next game, I can not trust the Celtics to come out on fire.
Am I seeing something that doesn't exist or do the C's take games or quarters off with an unspoken assumption that they can come back? I love the fact that they don't give up and time after time come back from double digit dificits but why do they so often fall so far? When you do that it is a matter of time before you can not come back.

Possibly.
But if they do, they'll win game 7.
I don't think they necessarily "take quarters off" - it's just that their defense is not as good and consistent without KG and Powe, and so when their shots aren't falling they can't always get the stops and keep it close. That won't change until KG comes back.

I'm 50-50 on it.
If the Celtics come out strong early it would be easy for the Magic to quit on Stan Van Gundy.

These playoffs have shown us that we just don`t have the quality to play at a very high level for a longer period of time.
Last year I had total confidence in the team and I knew we could win anywhere anytime, this season we have to be more realistic...
We can win in ORL but only if we come out with focus, sense of urgency and if we play defense...

I'm with you guys: I think they lay a big, stinky egg in game 6. I just don't feel a confident watching this team as I did last year's.
Now, a bit off-topic, but for comparison's sake, I just knew that the Bruins were going to force a game 7. They feel like the 2007-2008 Celtics.

I do think, after being mentally trashed in two straight games, the Tragic will roll over and die tomorrow night...that's my guess. But if the C's shat all over the court and beefed, I won't be surprised...

If Ray Allen can finally get going and him and Paul Pierce both have good-great games they have a excellent chance at finishing the Magic off in game 6.

Let me put it this way if the Cs win tomorrow night I'll give them 1 win vs. the Cavs. If the Cs don't win tomorrow and have to play a game 7 on Sunday and somehow win that game I don't see them winning a game vs. the Cavs. The Cs have giving up some big leads to the Magic and if they (meaning the Magic) had any type of killer in them the Cs would have loss this series in 5 games. So me keeping it real and being real about the Cs chances in the next series I don't see them winning but 1 game if that vs. the Cavs.

I don't really understand how we won games 4 and 5 so how can I expect anything in game 6. The one positive I see is that Rondo and Ray have done nothing in this series and that was supposedly the match up we owned, at some point they have to get over on Alston and Reddick right?
My Magic 8 ball keeps coming up cloudy on Game 6.

But I think they were doing the same thing last year in the playoffs. How else does the Hawks series go seven games?
I do agree they win game seven.

I think we close it out of course we should be watchful of their deadly shooters getting hot in their own building but I think we can continue to slow down their offense. If it is another close game in the low 90's I like our chances.

I too second the it's hard to believe we won game 4 and game 5.
The Magic could finish it off, but if they don't we might squeak by again. Thanks Baby,Pierce,Ray for being clutch. But moreso for Magic being so horribly unclutch.

Quite frankley, Orlando does not finish well. Right now they have superior talent but outside of rashard lewis are not doing alot to capitolize on that. We will win game 6 because as soon as orlando gets a lead and it starts to crumble they are gonna go into "Oh no not again" mode and start choking like they did last night.
With that said Watch Out for them next year, they are really only a couple of pieces from being a championship team. They might actually be better with addition by subtraction with hedo gone next year and Jameer back if they can get a really good 6th man.

Well.. I was already heavily surprised that they won two games in a row so I don't feel very confident making a prediction. But I do think that there is no "momentum" in this series. We should have it, but the same case was for the upcoming Game 3 where we came out with less urgency than needed.
Finally.. yes I do expect them to lose in Game 3 fashion

The Tragic are about as mentally soft as it gets. To win Game 6, they will need to come out on fire and stay ahead the whole game in one of those games where the C's can never seem to get anything going. If the C's can keep it close and hang around, they can call upon their superior execution, experience, and mentality to close it out. C's just need a chance at the end..

We either get blown out, or win a close one.
If we can keep it close I feel like we pull it out. The Magic have had a mental block finishing out games against us. That being said, it wouldn't surprise me if we lost by 20+.

Yeah, I agree. I think those two scenarios are equally plausible. But this team is so tough that even a double-digit loss wouldn't mean anything going into Game 7. Frankly, a blowout win probably wouldn't help the Magic more than a close win would; probably less, as they currently have no confidence they can win a close game unless they blow a 25-point lead before doing so.

Has anyone thought about how our early struggles last postseason have set the table for this team to survive this post season without KG?
The true irony will be if we can hold on long enough for the big fella to return and have a storied repeat.
