Good Series

Good luck with game 7. That is scoring at least 1 point less than the magic does.
Should be interesting to see how each club counters.
Personally, I would like to see Lee and Redick start if either could handle the point or let Hedo do that as a point forward. They seem to be better defenders than Rafer and I think the game will come down to who scrambles the most.
BTW, aside from the hard feelings in this series just as you had in Chicago or us with the 6ers. Who do you prefer win out in the next series versus Cleveland if the Magic win Sunday.

I'd prefer Cleveland to win, in all honesty...they're by far the better team and will crush the Lakers or whoever comes out of the West...I hate the Cavs, don't get me wrong, but it is what it is...

Haha thanks man. I disagree with the title of this thread, though: this has been a horrible series, from a basketball standpoint; some ugly, ugly games. Last night's was a slog, and not just because Orlando won...some of the Celtics victories were just as brutal to watch. Boston-Chicago led to some very exciting, high-flying games. Boston-Orlando is just a grind. I can't wait until this series is over.
If the Magic win on Sunday, then Cleveland takes the series in 5 games, tops. If Boston wins, Cleveland takes the series in 6 games, tops. I'm not being pessimistic, but LeBron James is just that good this year. No way the Cavs lose at home this postseason.

I'd be rooting for the Cavs.
Nothing against the Magic, but for me if the C's are out it's all about beating the Lakers. The Cavs can and probably will do it, but I don't see the Magic having much of a chance.

i think it appears that way because of the defense. Both teams normally can shoot lights out but with Lee and others and of course your success against Howard allowing you to defend the outside more its been tough for both teams and they have been taken out of rythm.

btw, the Magic won the years series against the Cavs and the Lakers. You guys are competing well because of Perkins. They dont have that guy. If we are able to get past this we will be back to our regular spread out game.

That's exactly why it
ist way. It's not a knock on either team; it's just that both teams have methods of neutralizing the other's big-guns. I appreciate the strategy behind it, I just don't think it's been a particularly fun series to watch.

If that happens then I will root for them over Cleveland...

Why are you guys waiting to start Lee, again? He has been your most important player in this series.

Has been a Good Series because we are playing real bad. Sometimes I'm asking myself how we are in game 7 playing so bad? We can do better

I dont know why they arent starting him. The theory was that Redick was actually doing a good job with Ray running around and if he also hit his shots, as he seemed to do early ohn in the game before, that is Redick might play better starting then coming in cold off the bench. But then Redick goes 1-7 or something and he cant keep taking shots like that when he isnt feeling it. But Lee has started all year when we won almost 60 games. Lee is more consistent and he needs to play more minutes. I think he will start game 7.
Oddly, a couple in the magic forum want the starters to be Howard, Gortat , Lewis at SF, Hedo at a guard spot and Lee. Its an interesting matchup with Gortat who has an outside shot on Big Baby. We would get burned by Ray on Hedo but the same could be said on the other end. Interesting scenario though. The backfire would be Pierce tends to aim at getting his cover guy in foul trouble and if that is now Lewis, who has been one of our saving graces in this, the strategy could really screw us up.

As a magic fan, I appreciate you boston fans. Most of you have a way of looking at things objectively. This possibly because your team has been there before. I disagree about cleveland taking it to the magic if we happen to win sunday. Lebron doesn't do well when Howard is in the lane and he has to resort to his streaky jumper. I honestly think we could win that series. I would say Boston could too if you were playing with a full team.
You think KG will be back if you advance to the ECF? also, what exactly is wrong with him? just wear and tear kinda stuff?

If Orlando advances I will be cheering for them, also for Lakers/Denver in finals if Cleveland makes it.
Any team which plays against Cleveland basically, I hate Mo Williams and Varejao..

The sad part is in this series, both Magic and Boston havent been playing to their full potential because the opposing team focused on shutting down at least one aspect of the team...aka dwight...for us ray/pierce...it hasnt been a true firefight:(

As a Magic fan, I can say that Perkins is criminally underrated in NBA. Of course if we can see a smile from him once in awhile, it might be just easier to cheer for him

Good luck at tonight's game, may the best one win.

I'm pretty sure SVG sees it this way:
Ray hasn't gotten off - seems to work so let's keep JJ on him. Lee's defense coming off the bench has completely nullified House's shooting, while being able to abuse him on the offensive side. Seems to work so far. Hopefully Ray will prove him wrong tomorrow.

Not being a hater on either squad, but I will be surprised if the Magic or C's can win a single game vs. the Cavs. The Cavs have very much reminded me of the 08' Celtics with the way they've played so far, only, they've been considerably more dominant. From what I've seen, they are playing their best ball of the year right now, and that doesn't bode well for any of their opponents. I know that the Magic have more favorable matchups than almost any other team, but I just don't think they can put a dent in the runaway train that has become the Cavaliers (ok, I'll jump off their d*** now).
As far as who I'm rooting for, it's the C's and anybody playing the Lakers. For the ECF, whether it's the Magic or C's vs Cavs, may the best team win and take a massive dump on the Lakers if they make it that far.
