Thoughts on LA - who will more than likely match-up with the Magic unless they don't get it done in Orlando.

LA are healthy, and playing well. Kobe's chance [again] to try get a ring without Shaq.

Rather LA than Cleveland. Kobe's at least earned his "basketball god" status

I want LA of course. Then in 2010, the Lakers and Celtics come back to the Finals for a rematch. Oh yeah!

at this point I want Orlando to win....can't stand the LeBron hype and the Cavs attitude....the Lakers would cherish it a lot after losing last season...just glad we won it last year-so, we'll still be at least 2 Championships ahead of L.A.

Trust me you don't want he Cavs to win, the media would make it out If Cavs win it, it will be the greatest Championship ever, Lebron's Cavs 1 chip > Celtics 17 and Lakers 14 chips combined. You won't hear the end of it.

If Cavs make it to the finals I will be rooting for LAL. Cant stand Mo Williams and Varejao.
If Orlando makes it I will be rooting for Orlando!

I doubt I've watched 5 total minutes of basketball since the Celtics were knocked out. For me, there simply isn't a good second choice behind the Celtics. I suppose I'd prefer the Lakers lose, but since the league didn't cancel the playoffs after the Celtics were knocked out it means some team I hate is going to win.

It's like the Superbowl - there is no outcome that is good now with Denver gone. Beyond Denver I root for Orlando. Between the Lakers and Cleveland - it's really tough. Citywise LA doesn't really need a championship. Whereas Cleveland probably could use the boost.

But the way the media and the NBA glorify Lebron instead of letting him EARN his glory is a total turnoff. Kobe in a way was a much better story because he took glory..whereas Lebron has been babied all his life.

So do you root for a city or against a guy? Well since I am not from Cleveland - screw Lebron. If he wants a championship maybe he could win one with garbage gift fouls and crying every damn call.. Yes Lebron Dwight Howard really can block your shot..

Why? Because he won 3 rings riding the Shaq train? Or because he scored 81 pts on 50 shots? LeBron is way better than Kobe. Dude is a triple double machine, on a garbage ass team where Mo Williams is the second best player. I wanted Carmelo to win it, now I want LeBron. I think the Magic will go to the finals though...so let the Tragic win it..anyone but the Fakers...

I can't believe anyone would even consider rooting for LA over Cleveland; for one Cleveland hasn't won a championship for 45 years.

Plus, can you think of much worse than the Lakers ever winning a championship because of the Gasol donation? It would be a tragedy for the league.

An LA victory inches them closer to the Boston title count and pushes Phil Jackson into sole lead for titles as a coach over Red Auerbach. It's sad enough that Red has to share his record after he single handedly built the franchise -- it'd be a tragedy for him to be surpassed by a glorified coattail rider.

Now LeBron's title to allow him to leave Cleveland vs. Kobe's title to "prove" he is great without Shaq cancel each other out, in my mind, in terms of douchebaggy degree.

So let Cleveland have a title. LeBron will leave them soon enough. And unlike Michael Jordan, you're not going to see LeBron dominate but have a Duncan-esque career with one championship every few years.

anyone but orlando for me.

NO 3 PT shooting team should win a championship.

If Orlando wins then we are going to see a screwed up basketball just like the 90s. Next thing we know Antoine will be called back and there will be a 4 point line put in place.

Lebron finishing with 4 titles would still be quite a great accomplishment.

I would puke if Mo Williams and Anderson Varejao + all the pretenders on the bench get the ring

Lebron deserves it no doubt...but

Give him a decent team, that doesn't fold in the playoffs and he wins more than that. If LeBron was on the Celtics squad this year, in place of Paul, we would have won a championship EASILY. Without KG..I love Paul, he's my favorite player ever, but LeBron is unreal...

The only thing that will genuinely upset me *when* the Lakers win is Phil and the hc titles record.

I'd be more upset if Cleveland won, I hate all those players.

BRUNiNHO91 you must have a man crush on Lebron :) So many positive post about him :)

When a second allstar joins him they will be hard to beat...lets hope that will not happen this summer...We have at least one more season 2010 to win it.

In 2010 Lebron for sure will have his second allstar besides him...in Cleveland/Ny/Miami...Just imagine Wade/Lebron/Beasley trio in Miami...ufffffff

At the very least, I want to know that we not only lost to the champs but gave them their toughest test if we're not going to win, so I'm rooting for the Magic.
