loyalty is HUGE to me. It would take a LeBron, Wade, Howard, etc...type player to pry Pierce off of this team. And that's only because my loyalty lies more with the franchise more than any one player. Still though, I hope he retires as a Celtic and we make good with his expiring contract (sign durant)

A player very much like Pierce, only better.

And since Cleveland isn't trading LBJ, that's not going to happen.

Pierce has done nothing up to this point to not deserve an opportunity to retire a Celtic. In today's sports, it's becoming rare to see a star player retire with the team that originally drafted him. Fortunately for both he and his fans, he has won a championship with Boston. Therefore, he can finish his career here without any feelings of incompleteness. In other words, he has avoided falling into that category of aging stars who the media claims are chasing a ring. The Kidds, the Nashes...etc.

No way we trade Pierce. I would lose a lot of respect for Pierce unless we traded him for somebody well worth his price and above it. He is one of my favorite players, he always puts in great effort even if he's not shooting, he's a great guy, and he is just a plain out clutchtastic beast. Pierce is here to stay.

Paul and KG only get traded if they ask to be trade. Ray may get traded if there is a McDyess deal out there in which he could be back in a month for a play off run with the help of the player we got in his deal.

By the way, I've been in the be-loyal-to-Paul camp ever since somebody who worked for a major furniture company -- i.e., a fantasy hoops opponent :) -- told me that, during one of the Cs' worst seasons, Pierce ordered 5 custom chairs with Celtics logos for his house.

I'd trade Pierce, Garnett & Allen if it got us LeBron. Of course that's stating the obvious. I'm sure every other intelligent Celtics fan would do the same.

Maybe "intelligent" fans would do the same, but I feel like that would be for the front office to decide. All I know is that I bleed green and I would never trade Paul Pierce. I could part with KG or Ray or really anyone else on the team for the right price, but Paul Pierce isn't someone I could trade. He's been a Celtic throughout his whole career, loves being in Boston, loved being in Boston when we weren't good, and is a heck of a player. I just think he's one of those guys like Bird, Mchale, Russell, Cousy, Havlicek, etc., a "true" Celtic great and someone that never should be traded.

I would trade KG for Dwight, Paul for LeBron and Ray for Wade. Otherwise I'd prefer to keep them ;)

And yep, sometimes I'm a homer. But a homer who knows that the best starting 5 plays in Boston and that there aren't any possible upgrades to be had out there.

At this point... I dont see Pierce going anywhere...He will retire a Celtic...

KG could be a different story?

His loyalty rating took a hit with me because he didn't attempt to play in the recent playoffs when we really needed his help...

The way that whole deal went down and the way the Celtic organization handled things makes me wonder if he might be tradebait to lure a Wade or a Labron...or even a Bosh!

I can envision another sort of youth movement restructuring happening here....It could be that KG's recent injury problems could be enough of an issue to bring this all about?

Maybe there will be another significant makeover?

But I don't see Pierce as part of that....He's been a good soldier and gets that "loyalty pass"...on the other hand....Ray may be expendable too?....He hasn't been here long enough to gain those extra loyalty considerations....

Don't get me wrong... I love them both...but business may well be business!

 I hope you realize that there's no other person/species in this entire galaxy who wanted KG out on the floor during the playoffs more than KG himself. He's not Vince Carter.

Actions speak louder than words....

He's no Vince Carter...true.... but KG really didn't live up to his image...

I know, playing hurt when you make that kind of money is a huge financial gamble in todays times, but when it comes to winning championships, that all goes out the window if you want it bad enough...

just sayin...

I doubt the powers that be feel that lukewarm about KG as you do.....
