Ray Allen for Luol Deng and Hinrick works on the trade checker. The Bulls get out of Dengs contract, judging from their forum board he is now persona non grata. The Celtics get much needed youth for years to come and continue there winning ways. THe Bulls get another big expering for the 2010 sweepstakes.
They may also loose Ben gordon. DIscuss

I kinda like it. Though it does mess with out spacing since Deng doesn't have the range Pierce or Ray does and Rondo is limited as well. That will make it easier to double Ticket.

This is one Ray trade that doesn't seem too bad. Both are good young players, decent shooters (though Deng doesn't shoot threes), and play good defense. Not sure if Hinrich would start at SG or if Deng would start at SF moving PP to SG. Salary wise it hurts so I don't know if the FO would go for it. Talent wise we give up the best player but end up with needed good depth. Would Chicago be willing to do this?

That's pretty damn solid, doesn't solve our big man problem though.

I just don't get why the bulls trade two still relatively young studs for Ray. Kirk and Luol are really good players...Ray is getting old but yes he is expiring. If we could pull something like this off it is a no brainer but i just think there is no way this happens...We have to give up other pieces...

hmmm maybe the bulls would ask for big baby in the deal in s&t something like Ray/Big Baby/pick for Deng/Hinrich/Thomas. Then sign McDyess to a 2 year mile deal.
Rondo
Pierce
Deng
KG
Perkins
Hinrich/McDyess/Thomas would give some nice firepower off the bench. Plus we get two young guns to pair with Rondo and Perk going forward.

Looking at Deng's salary and the length of his contract, I'll pass. On the other hand, I would've an interest in Hinrich. But, I don't think Chicago wants to trade him anymore. He'd played well in the playoffs this year, showed he can be a threat as a scorer. Not to mention, Gordon's likely signing elsewhere. If so, they'll want to keep Hinrich to start with Rose.
I can't think of why Chicago would want Ray but it doesn't matter since Ray isn't on the block.

Those guys do it because those two 'studs" play like MLE guys not near max guys like they had hoped. So the Ray Allen deal allows you to 'reset" and spend the money on some guys that might come close to actually earning those huge salaries.
For us though they would be nice albeit overpaid players.. Not sure Danny does it..

If there were no salary cap/luxury tax the Celtics would probably do this deal. It definitely improves the team quite a bit, especially from a defensive standpoint. Not sure that Deng has really been playing all that well over the past couple seasons however. Hinrich is a favorite of mine because of his defense. This move would essentially mean bye-bye to Rondo though... So probably an unrealistic deal especially considering that the Bulls and Celtics just played in that epic series against each other, and would figure to be facing up several times over the next few seasons in the playoffs.

I am not sure whether Kirk would like to play with Rondo... They clash pretty badly in the Chicago series.. And i also dont want to take Deng contract, too much money for a sub combo forward (or we can move pierce to the 2 but thats a bit too slow...

Can Chicago Sign-&-Trade Gordon? I'd love Gordon + Deng for Allen. Chicago is probably losing Gordon anyway so for them it's basically Deng for Allen. They excelled without Deng this past season already. Allen could give them what they got from Gordon and then they'd have less than $40 million on the books next off-season to give them room for a big signing in the 2010 free agency market. Then Chicago could still bring back Ray at a discount via the Bird Exception. Then we just use some or all of our MLE on a big man (maybe somebody like Gortat or Anderson) and our LLE on Marbury or another backup PG.
We go into next season with lineup that looks something like this:
Rondo / Marbury
Gordon / House
Pierce / Deng
Garnett / Davis
Perkins / Gortat
We would be infinitely better than we were the past two years.

ray allen is still the best player in this deal but it's not bad. My main issue would be the health of Deng. I always liked him and he would be our 6th man. Heinrick I guess is your starting 2 guard which is a bit out of position for him. How about Ray Allen for Gerald Wallace and Felton? does that work?

Felton is a RFA so it would have to be a sign and trade. Assuming Felton re-signs for something in the 5-6 million range then a package with Gerald Wallace (8.25mill) would not have enough salary to match Ray Allen's contract. However, if Charlotte wanted to dump one of Nazr, Diop, or Vlad Rad then it works. We could also add Tony Allen or a youngster as a sweetener to ensure Charlotte gets something if Allen does not re-sign there.
I see a couple of problems with it though. Why would Charlotte do this? Allen is probably enticing to Larry Brown but he may only be there for one year. Also, a backcourt of Felton and Rondo is really small. And Gerald Wallace hasn't been the most durable player so I wouldn't want to rely on him.
