Hey yo!
I really hate the Fakers, but oh boy!!!!, I have to admit that I LOVE Fisher.
He is a guy that always delivers. I love his guts. Both Horry and him are the same kind of player.
A true profesional.
Any thoughts? Kind regards.

Bleh...Fisher is a guy who has been in the right place at the right time (much like Horry) who rode decent/average talent on the coattails of superduperstars to championships. Much like Byron Scott in the 1980s...

I HATE Fisher, he should still be in Utah. Its too bad his kid had the disease or whatever but it was just soo convenient for him that the clinic was in LA so he could play for the Lakers again. However one of my fav playoff moments was him showing up in the Utah playoff game late after being with his kid all day and nailing some big shots.

I agree, and I touched on this a while back...while I wish nothing but the best for his daughter, it's still super fishy (no pun intended)...

Isnt Fish's daughter disease a Eye issue? And if it is, doesnt Boston have the best Medical centers for Eyes and Children diseases in the world?
He just wanted out of Utah and wanted back to LA, I hate to think he used a childs disease to fit his wants.
Gritty player though, wouldnt mind him on my team.

Yes she had eye cancer if I recall...
and that's basically what he did...he "retired" so the Jazz would void his contract, then he magically came out of retirement and signed with the Lakers...go figure...

In fairness, Fisher didn't just ask for a buyout. He had a pretty terrible contract and he asked them to tear it up so he could be with his daughter while she had cancer. The weird thing is that a lot of world class cancer research goes on in Salt Lake City, but the doctors who specialized in his daughter's cancer, which I think is pretty rare, are only in New York, LA, and Boston. I didn't really like that he immediately turned around and signed with another team, but he really didn't do anything wrong there.
Fisher is pretty much done as a player, at least as someone who has a meaningful role and impact for a team. He's a pretty average shooter at best and can't stay in front of anyone on defense anymore. He's lucky he hit that shot last night because it probably bought him one more year of a starting gig out of sheer goodwill.

That's not what happened at all. He and the Jazz agreed on a buyout of $0. Considering that the tax-wary Jazz would be paying Fisher $7,354,500 next season if he had not done this, they can't act too hard done by.
