Wade now open to leaving Miami....

Post#1 » by Kefa461 » Wed Jun 17, 2009 10:44 am

Dwayne Wade appeared Tuesday on ESPN 1000's "Waddle and Silvy" show and the Miami Heat star had some interesting things to say about his future and Bulls guard Derrick Rose: Tom Waddle: "What are the chances of you coming back to Chicago? Wade: "If I could say one thing I would say that I'm blessed to be in a position where I have options. I thank god for those options. 2010, free agency only comes up once so I'm going to make sure that I think about this and do it right. Of course I love Miami, this is where I built my career at. Chicago is always the place I'm from, there's going to be talk about that, of course, but right now I'm trying to do what I can to make sure that the team that I'm on be as good as we can be. When it's time for me to think about it, then I will do just that." Chicago Sun-Times

Ray and Rondo would be a good offer for Miami. We'll see what happens in the next week or so. If the trade went through we'd have to get Chalmers in the trade or sign a free agent point guard.

Dwayne Wades ass waxer on Celticsblog might have been on to something. Do it Danny. We'd get free throws up the ass if he were on our team.

I love Ray & Rondo but even I would give them up for Wade.

This would be a no brainer and we would win it all next year. We would avoid paying Rondo big bucks and take advantage of Ray's expiring deal. Wade is easily a top 5 talent in this league. That would be bananas....maybe Miami would try to get some young pieces like Rondo and go with the youth movement.

LOL. I got killed on this very board a month ago for suggesting a Rondo/Ray trade for Wade/Salary Filler.

I strongly believe this is Danny's guy. As Paul get's older he will turn into much more of a spot of shooter and would be the perfect pairing with D Wade.

Ray/Rondo/whoever else they want outside of Pierce, KG & Perk for Wade. Sign Kidd and we're ridiculous.

All Wade was trying to do was not insult his home town fans by not saying he wouldn't go there. This is the same stuff that James and Bosh have been coached by their agents to say. Which is, say nothing. It's a big stretch to read into that he is open to leaving Miami, even more so that he has an openness to sign a contract extension in Boston. I'm assuming you're all on the expectation that Wade would sign an extension, or are you really trading RA and Rondo for a year of Wade?

So the probability of Wade being a celtic just went from 0.0000001% to 0.1%. :D
I think everyone would love to have him here, it's just not incredibly likely to happen.

Wade would be a great Celtic. I'm sure Ainge wants to bring him here in 2010 if he can.

That's a big if though, but man it would be awesome.

I feel Wade will be a Celtic by the end of the summer. If the Heat draft a pg at number 14 then you know something is up. That pick will come to Boston along with Wade.

Either you guys are incredibly optimistic or just flat out crazy. D-Wade is not coming to Boston. He'd have to leave $30+ million on the table if he were to sign as a FA, and that's not likely seeing as how we probably won't have enough cap space to offer a max deal anyhow. And Pat Riley would never, E--E-E-E--E-EVER help the Celtics out by trading him to us.

A month ago we were in the playoffs. No one wants to think about trading your players in the middle of the playoffs.

That being said... I want wade.

I give this idea my blessing.

I'll also add that coming to play with Pierce/KG would without a doubt extend Wade's career.
