PP calls ORL poodles

Post#1 » by CWitch » Fri Jun 19, 2009 11:32 am

Paul Pierce said the Laker and Magic finals was like a german shepherd vs a poodle. He went on to say the rottweiler Celtics will be back in 2010.

Go Celtics!!!

The dog-fighting analogy is unfortunate and publicly trashing the team that just beat you in the playoffs is weak. So once again, the Captain's enthusiasm and competitiveness are laudable, but his approach leaves a little to be desired.

How is that a dog fighting reference? Just because he's comparing the team's competing to dogs? Anyone know what a metaphor is? Chill out.

I think what P2 was saying is that next year the Celts are going to kick everyones ass again. He means everyone. All you need is one hypersensitive, PC ,wimp to ruin the fun for everyone.

Anyone who watched that series would know that's hardly a dogfighting analogy. Not a dig against you, but fight is the last word I would choose to describe that series.

You all know dog fighting and dogs fighting are two different things...well I guess you wouldn't have said it if you did.

LA winning it only adds to the rivalry and the excitement of a possible Finals rematch. Its like the Red Sox and Yankees, God and the Devil, Batman and the Joker, Big Butts and Big Boobs. Its just more fun to have them together. There are no substitutes, they're on their own level.

Whether we want to admit it or not we need each other. I get goosebumps just thinking of the next battle.

happypedro12 it took the magic 7 games to eliminate the celtics without their best player playing. For next season the magic should work on the basic fundamentals of the game like FT shooting and layups instead of jacking up 30 3's a game.

But hey not is all lost. At least you have another eastern conference banner to hang in the rafters.
Reggie stood out like a sore thumb no tattoos no agenda no chirping nothing Just a guy who could score at will He played college ball at Northeastern he replaced Larry as Celtics captain he belonged to Boston.
And I still miss him. Even now.

Ok, your right. It took us 7 games to eliminate the Celtics without our all-star PG. do that all day 8-)
Whether you think you CAN or you think you CAN'T, you're right.
