This is awful for you guys. I dislike Rondo strongly, but I'm sick to my stomach just thinking of it. And I like Conley. But Rondo is so much better. And Rudy Gay is wildly overrated. You'll see, I guess.

Nothing is confirmed.. it was just reported on a posters "local sports channel" .. so who knows how reliable that is

depends on what other moves are made... Gay lets us reduce the big 3's minutes in a huge way, but we would need to look around for a point guard, a guy like Miller, Kidd or Bibby would be great with the MLE, but then we couldnt use it on a big

Seems to make sense, Minny just got the number 5 pick along with the 6

they want Rubio

now they can trade the 5 and 6 for the 2, Memphis no longer needs rubio as they will have Rondo

and also have the 5 and 6 to put around Rondo/Mayo/Gasol

still no confirmation on the net yet though, so its all speculative

You guys would make out like bandits if it's true. Conley was a different player once Hollins took over. Check out his splits post-All Star break.

I don't know about this.....look at the crap the spurs gave up for Richardson......Rondo has star potential to me.......i liked conley in that draft year...i actually thought he was the better player on that Memphis team.....ut he hasn't shown me much in the NBA....Gay???????


I guess Ainge tried other outlets but with ll of these deals going down....

If this is true, Memphis got ripped the hell off. Honestly, I think with the collection of stars in Boston, Conley could do an admirable job. How does Ainge go from being almost fired and consider a "nitwit" to being a genius within the span of a handful of years?

Rondo's the best player in the trade by far...Terrible swap for Boston.

No link, nobody on ESPN, Yahoo, REALGM is confirming this. It would have been announced if it was this big. This is a false rumor.

Unless we got the second pick to go with it, I'm really not feeling this. I guess I'll start panicking when someone other than an anonymous message board poster reports it.

Maybe BS, at least they checked it out in the trade checker!

Really, though, this would be tempting. It seems people are down on Conley but he seems pretty good. 40% from 3pt land. I don't know what we'd do with Gay unless Ray is being shopped too.

If this deal goes through, the Celtics should re-sign Marbury and make him the starting PG
