Team Workouts

Post#1 » by Rocky5000 » Wed Jun 24, 2009 6:27 pm

Definitely, not something that been getting much publicity, but keeping with Danny's boring draft prediction, these are the guys we're working out for the draft. Feel free to add any that I missed.
Slava Kravtsov - Ukraine C 7'0" 260 lbs

Jeff Adrien - UCONN PF 6'6" 225 lbs

Geoff McDermott - Providence SF/PF 6'7" 240 lbs

Robert Dozier - Memphis PF 6'10" 205 lbs

Aaron Jackson - Duquesne PG 6'4" 185 lbs

Bryan Mullins - Southern Illinois PG 6'1" 185 lbs

So we have some of the Danny ainge value picks of undersized PFs (McDermott and Adrien), one stashable euro center, a long rangy point guard like Rondo/Pruitt (Jackson), a skinny project big, and one playmaking pg. All of the US guys are 4 year college players.

I thought I read somewhere they worked out Nando De Colo, hence the sarcastic sig. Guess not? The two local guys on there would be a nice storyline, but they are likely not going to make the team. NBDL bound.

I've played with Robert Dozier down in Atlanta over the past few summers, the kid has a lot of talent and would be one of those 2nd round gems that Danny always seem to find. The kid has talent but I can't speak on the rest of the guys.

Dozier strikes me as a lesser version of Travis Outlaw. Rebounding wasn't great for an athletic 6'10 player. Lacks physique @ PF lacks dribbling ability @ SF.

Adrien is compared to Leon Powe, and rebounded well in college. He turned 23 in February and Leon was a 20/10 guy at a younger age. Adrien last season was a 14/9 guy and an inferior FT shooter.

Slava Kravtsov intrigues me. 21 years old, 7'2, good strength and athleticism and a good defender per DXpress. Who care about stats.
