Sitting on the sidelines

Ainge has attempted to make a bunch of moves but nothing has transpired...all the moves the C's were linked to have come and gone. He tried for picks...Washington and Memphis...rebuffed...other deals took those options away.....He tried for proven vets...Detroit and Memphis and was rebuffed...
which leeds to a pretty boring draft day for the C's....deals are going on all around......this isn't our market......free agancy is the alternative option......

I think he was throwing the Rondo rumors around so that he won't have to give Rondo a huge contract.

Quiet on the western front.......
Celtics general manager Danny Ainge acknowledged via text message tonight that he doesn't expect his franchise to make any trades to get into the first round, acquire a second round pick or to get a player. Boston currently only has the 58th overall pick in the second round.

I'd say probably a combination of establishing Rondos value around the league. How do other GM's value him? Who is a comparable? WHat are guys willing to trade for him?
and trying to get him to improve on his "attitude".
either way...I think there were/Are a few guys early in the draft he likes but the price was to big.
I'd really like to add a guy like Clark on this team. He would solve multiple problems as he's a 3-4.

for now....tomorrow will come and some team's deal will fall through--another team or two will get desperate to deal at the last minute---they'll look around and see Trader Danny---all alone with the 58th pick....an offer will be made.
