Questions about a possible Memphis move??

Does anyone have any thoughts as to why Memphis would deal Darko for Q-Rich? Darko's contract is expiring this coming year. While Q has a player option of like 8.5 million after this year. Are they getting him to come off the bench, and make room for Thabeet? Or are they making room for a Rudy Gay move?

I agree this would be just an awful move for them, but hell, par for the course for Wallace.

More like NY getting rid of Q-Rich's deal---to make room for Next Year's free agents.

all you need to know is Chris Wallace runs that team.

I see the reason NY does this. Just wondering what Memphis is thinking?

Maybe a future 1st. If that is the case then I'd probably do it if I was Memphis.

Sorry, but once again--this is ALL about NY getting someone to take on Q-Rich's salary--for 2010-2011---of course they found a VERY STUPID GM----stupid or on the take---like that Gasol deal.

I guess, but I would think Wallace could be hesitant because of moves he's made in the past. If this was the case we'd have Conley, Gay, and #2 sittin on our laps for Rondo and Scal. "X's fingers"

Somebody on the Memphis board said that Wallace turned down an Amar'e for Conley, and Gay trade already. If that's true I don't see this Rondo trade even being close.

Wallace has NO business being a GM and running ANY team-----just remember the 2001 draft--and the other "brilliant" things he did here----he is the WORST.

What sticks out of my head about Chris Wallace was the Vin Baker debacle. Jeezus Christ!

NY is purportedly sending cash along with Q-Rich. Even with Q-Rich on board, they would still be in position to be well below the cap in '10-11, and Q-Rich at least gives them depth.
Still, questionable to trade an expiring contract for that little so early on, questionable to agree to take on his contract just for cash considerations. A favor for the Knicks.

This trade just proves that Memphis and Wallace belive that to win a championshiop in the next few years they need to get over boston.....and we know Q-Rich plays Pierce very well

I hope we can work out a deal for Gay and Conley before Wallace trades them for Tony Delk and Rodney Rogers

Darko and Q are both expiring deals. Q is a SF and veteran presence while Darko sucks and is likely not to see much playing time. Q can hit the 3 and score a little and has played in PHX and again for D'Antoni in NY and that is the system that Memphis has said they want to run. Can't see how it hurts whether they move Gay not.
And who needs Darko if you have Scal?

thanks brother man, that seriously made me spit out my beverage, (I cry a bit inside knowing I'm just displacing my disappointment into humor over FORCING the sons to take Joe Johnson instead of kedrick)

Well canman.........it seems like from the outside looking in we might be good trading partners with Memphis. So any moves that Memphis makes might end up leading to us. I think that might be a valid thing to post on a message board.
