I hate seeing a guy like Young be right there for the taking.

He's going to improve through Free Agency. I hope.

Sucks that we have to wait another 13 days just to be able to negotiate.

The only possible way to get involved was to trade Rondo. I would still think Rondo is in play. but I think we are going to trades and signings for established players.

The only possible play was a rondo trade into the top 5. Unless Evans is still being negotiated with sac-town, we are going to get spare part here in the 2nd and do the damage in the summer.

I'd pick Patty Mills.

He's the real thing.

he's a player that i was interested in coming into the draft.

He'd be great if he drops that far or if Ainge buys a pick for him

Maybe Danny was just being honest when he said tonight wouldn't be that interesting for Celtics fans.

And--- East conf teams didn't get a pick until #8 with the Knicks, and I thought there were 7 really interesting players to chose from. grrrr.

Still holding out for Rubio to Knock and Evan to Celtics though.

Not sure why people are disappointed. This draft sucks, so why would they trade to get something?

I still think the Boston Celtics have a top 10 player at every position in their starting line up and I don't think there is another team in the NBA that claim that. Even FA is going to be hard when you don't have a starting spot to offer.

The Celtics are still a top 3 team. As long as they're healthy, they don't need much improving to go far in the playoffs.

Yeah it suck to only have more or less the best team in the world. There was no one in the draft or anyone traded today who is better than any of our starters by position.

yeah, it really sucked that we didn't trade vets for rookies who won't help us win for 4-5 years.

he will trade for vets, or sign vets, the draft is ptless for us.

Exactly.

Also to add, responding to the OP, it wasn't frustrating at all, it was just boring and I expected that but was still hoping maybe we could move into the late 1st or early second.

But this is a weak draft. I have no idea what Minnesota did by taking to PG's, back to back. We will upgrade the bench thru free angency not the draft. What makes people think that a rookie is going to help our team when Giddens and Walker hardly played. Pruitt, and 2nd year guy also hardly played. We are not in rebuild mode.

IMO, Rondo is better than any PG's in this year's draft, so I didn't want to trade him for a pick.

I'm relieved this draft is over just so I don't have to listen to anymore ludicrous scenarios that have no chance of happening.

It's now time to add some vets to the bench and go get number 18.
