I am very curious as to why he is not interested.

He and KG are close.

He knows he can help BIG time.

But for some reason it doesn't interest him. I'm guessing his role will be too diminished.

Twitter is a reliable source now?? lol..
Hopefully it's not true..but this is not the end of the world. A 3pt chucking center doesn't want to come to Boston..ohh..how sad...i'd rather have the Birdman than him anyways..dude is overrated as hell, complains like a bitch, and gets called for 34324 technical fouls a year... got talent?Yes..would help?Very much..but there are other who can help as well...

I'm very disappointed in Sheed. If KG has called him personally, I don't see why he wouldn't consider signing with the Celtics. I guess he's after a team that can give him a larger role or pay. :(

Probably wants more than the MLE. Sucks to miss out on all these players, but.. when we had Ratliff's expiring contract, a bunch of rookie-contract guys etc., there were a bunch of possible big man acquisitions- Pau Gasol, Jermaine O'Neal, Zach Randolph, etc. - we ended up with KG. Danny's 'pitch selection' for trades is good, he's working the count and waiting for a pitch he likes

Why would Sheed go to Boston if he knows with our current team, we have smaller chance of winning it all compare to Cleveland and Orlando? You guys keep saying that this is where the ring is, but its not. FA are not coming over here anymore guys.

dont like the sound of this. I rather sign McDyess but Marc Spears sounded pretty confident that he will re sign in Detroit.... after McDyess/Sheed who is the best FA big??? Probally our own Glenn Davis.

Boston may be constrained politically, not wanting to pay him more than Perkins.

That's crap, but at least those Texas teams can offer him a starting gig for his buckets.

In Boston, he'd be coming off the bench.

Looks like Zaza, Gortat, and Nesterovic as the only real options at PF-C that would present an improvement over Davis... and I'm not sure that Zaza or Nesterovic are really more valuable than Davis if he can continue to develop.

This is going to be a pretty tough offseason. Not much out there at two major need positions for the Celtics: backup SG-SF and backup PF-C. I'd say be prepared for a Davis, Dahntay Jones, and Stephon Marbury offseason. With the "surprise" signing coming in the shape of Robert Swift.

Good! As I stated in another post the Celtics don't need a 3pt chucker as a backup center.

Just to give you an idea of what Sheed has become look at last years stats compared to Ray and Pierce.

Sheed: 3pt att - 318 total att - 719 % of shots 3 pointers = 44%
Pierce: 3pt att - 304 total att - 1181 % of shots 3 pointers = 26%
R. Allen: 3pt att - 499 total att - 1040 % of shots 3 pointers = 47%

On a percentage basis, Sheed almost shoots as many 3 pointers as Ray Allen. He actually shot more 3 pointers than Pierce. I don't think this is what the Celtics need.

This is crap. Unless Sheed Twittered this himself I won't believe it. Boston is in the best place to offer him the most playing time.

I'd rather have McDyess, but Sheed wouldn't be a bad backup plan. Now it looks like neither of them want to play in Boston.

Well Mcdyess really shouldn't surprise people. Ages ago he said he wants to retire in Detroit. I've never quite understood why people kept thinking he was going to come to Boston.
