The best to start is with McHale. The master at work.

In addition you should search on youtube

Hakeem Olajuwon - the dream shake and the works

Alonzo Mourning - a great drop step move

Moses Malone

Bill Walton

Kareem Abdul Jabbar - more than just the sky hook

Charles Barkley - especially good because he was short, so he had to be crafty

Al Jefferson - the second coming of McHale, which is why so many of us liked him immediately

Tim Duncan - The Big Fundamental

Pay close attention to how these guys make sure that they use their jumper as a weapon. McHale's fade away was deadly, which allowed him to bait guys constantly. the same is true of most of them, especially Hakeem.

The up and under move is money

Shooting with either hand inside

The use of their pivot feet

Staying low in the block, but maintaining balance

Having a hook shot helps

Head and ball fakes

Using the basket as a shield with the reverse

It is actually easier to do it against double teams at times, because you can squeeze your way through the two defenders, as they leave a space open between them.

Good luck

Olajuwon was sick, to have that kind of agility and quickness at his height is a once in a generation thing.. Mchale, the way he uses his length is impressive, so many of the highlights in that video he looks like he's over-extended his body but he has the arm strength & touch to get the ball to the basket

That could be a problem, because you would only learn to make a left turn, and might pick up the bad habit of forcing other drivers into the wall. Best to just take drivers ed.

I watch Top Gear for that. Just watch out for the police and remember to keep a mask ready for speed cameras.

Much better then trying to learn from greats IMHO. Well its Bill Walton teaching you but its slowed down.
