Boozer news.....

Post#1 » by Kefa461 » Mon Jun 29, 2009 11:43 am

"Obviously we're not going to be signing a guy (at) 10, 12 million dollars a year."

"That," the newspaper reported, "makes it doubtful the Nets will get in the mix for (Jazz forward) Carlos Boozer, if he opts out of his contract."

ps....another guy who's price might drop......

I don't want to ever see that guy in a Celtics uniform. Reasons:

1. Plays terrible defense

2. Is extremely injury prone

3. Lies to nice, old, blind men

That is strike three.

The Cavs made the mistake in the first place. They were worried that Boozer might get a 10 million/year contract after the next season and made a shady under the table agreement with Boozer to sign him for a contract that didn't reflect Boozer's market value. Just stick with the rules and you won't find yourself in a position like the Cavs.

Anyway, I don't like Boozer too. It's just the case that the blind man was not "nice" during this negotiation process. He only pretended to be nice.

Boozer at the MLE would be a HUGE coup.

Who cares about blind old men. It's the No Boo-hooing Association. The Cavs were trying to skirt the rules and they got bit. I agree Boozer was shady, but it wasn't like the Cavs were innocent either.

And as for his bad D, put him alongside KG or Perk and he'd be OK. That 3-man rotation, with each getting 32 minutes, would be absolutely monstrous.

Of course Boozer isn't coming for the MLE, and we don't really have anything to return in a sign-and-trade, so this is all moot.

I'm more interested in Millsap, which is the same thing the Jazz are probably saying.

No thanks to Boozer. He screwed over a blind guy, then sued Prince after he painted his house purple. I can't root for that guy.

if you can root for Marbury, you can root for anyone.

But it will all be meaningless without another true center.

Shaq, Big Z, Dwight Howard, Bynumn/Gasol.

These are all guys that are huge and can punish KG down low. Sadly Gasol can even though if you asked me before the Finals I would of thought he wouldn't be able too.

We need more then just Perkins who can handle our competitors big men. Lets not even discuss for the second straight playoffs and third year Perkins shoulder has been a problem for him.

Unless we get a Center I don't care if we somehow bring in an All-star like Boozer.

I'm also a little wary of SA but with Splitter and Duncan I think KG and Perk match up just fine. Don't think SA has any other big to worry about like Shaq or D-12
