Ike Diogu

Ok now I know this guy struggled finding time on the Kings but what do you guys think of bringing him in to work with Clifford Ray? It would have to be better than the Pat Obryant experiment :D

I think we have more than enough undersized PF`s on this team...we need length and he certainly doesn`t bring that although I think he can be a useful bench player somewhere...

I'd be interested at taking a look at Diogu. I saw him play out in Vegas in the summer league right after he was drafted, and I remember being quite impressed with his game. Seems to be pretty skilled, and has a plus-size wingspan so he plays taller than his listed height.

Diogu would be an interesting Powe replacement for next season. Very similar players. Diogu has a little more range on his shot but is not as much of a bulldog as Powe.

I wouldn't given him more than a min contract, but it would be worth a shot.

If the Celtics sign Diogu it means Powe is a goner.

I would sign Powe to the 1 year QO which is about $1.0 million. He knows the system and the current players and would probably be ready around the trade deadline next year. He would be this year's Mikki Moore.

I'd sign him to a minimum deal. By the time Powe is ready to play (and that's if he's even effective), Diogu will have learned the Celtics system.

i'd rather have powe, but i'm just not convinced he's going to be fully healthy next season, even by the end. it was a pretty serious injury, and this is a guy who's already had major surgery on both knees.

i feel bad for leon, i'm a big fan of his. but i think we should sign him to a 2-year min deal so that by next TC he is ready again, and just count him out this season. meanwhile, this year we need someone for that role, and diogu might be a good fit. danny does like his undersized PFs.
