C's going all out......

Post#1 » by Kefa461 » Wed Jul 1, 2009 9:12 pm

"Here’s how badly the Boston Celtics believe Rasheed Wallace can be the difference in winning an 18th NBA championship next season: Coach Doc Rivers and the Big Three were planning a recruiting trip to woo him, possibly as early as Wednesday afternoon, league sources said".

ps...Marc Stein: "Celtics are the leaders to get Sheed"

ps.....24 to 48 hours are critical

This is amazing news. And to think all of those trade rumors that were circulating pre-draft about trading our starters? What nonsense.
We have the best starting five and are about to compliment it with one of the best and deepest benches. Can't wait for this season to start!! :D

Couldn't agree more. I'm extremely excited.

Let's get Sheed and grab Hill, and then go get our trophy back.

Will they make the trip in a camper van like that ESPN add last season? That would be awesome.

It's going to have to be a large vehicle, yes. In addition to carrying the Big Three and Doc, they should bring along big sacks with dollar signs printed on them full of money and a ten year contract to refer to Sheed as a "Celtic legend."

This isn't going all out, trading Rondo and Ray for a star is going all out.

So trading a current star and future star for one star is a good idea?

Wouldn't it be smarter to let ray expire an due his cap space to get a star while KEEPING rondo?

do we really want to implement another big player in our system that works so well right now?

Bring in Sheed, get a competent backup swingman that can defend, resign marbury and house, and we're golden.

Hope this works better than when Danny camped out at Karl Malone's place.

He didn't have the vague, unspoken threat of having the tar beaten out of him by Kevin Garnett if he signed elsewhere back then. Different times.

Only if Kevin Garnett is 100% healthy.

I'm just saying all we're doing is signing two free agents for the bench, and letting two players go, from the bench. We're not dropping 2 influential starters cuz we're panicking is my point.

Going "all out" would be using the MLE, using the LLE, matching Davis's offer, and offering Marbury enough to bring him back.

I hope that's exactly what they do.
