Maybe this guy is wrong---but I think a 3 year deal would be accepted by Sheed for sure....maybe 3rd year is players option.

Well that makes me feel a little better about the situation.

If they're giving Sheed 3 years, then bring back Posey.

Why would we give a 35 year old a three year deal?

I don't have any problems with him getting 3 years. The guy's contract would be a trade chip anyways, so it wouldn't hurt us. We only need him for two years. Sheed would happily take his third year money, and I'm sure that the team he was traded too wouldn't give a damn about buying him out.

I would think Danny has that 3rd year option in his back pocket as a last ditch move. Just in case. No use in showing your hand if one doesn't have to.
