Why would Marbury want to go to Washington?

I don't understand why he would want to go there. They seem stacked at the guard position. Unless they are planning to make a big trade.
Butler, Arenas, Miller, Foye, Stevenson, M.James, N.Young, Crittendon

The other rumored team the Kings makes more sense because they actually need a point guard. Maybe he's trying to make the C's up the offer.

I don't think he cares anything about winning, he's all about the money. He'll follow the largest contract offer.

Something tells me him and Danny are just playing poker with each other to see which one folds. Marbury knows there's not going to be many offers out there for him. Unless he wants to start on a 20 win team. Then again the bad teams usually want a young point guard as their starter.

Arenas plays PG there right??For about 40 minutes a game...that would leave Marbury with 8 minutes to run point..ohh man..this should be interesting.. lol

Saunders is there and he's negotiating for a better deal like most players, not named Artest, tend to do...

Marbury would probably sign with the Generals if it mean't making 2 more dollars.

Who cares. Marbury came to Boston and was a good citizen. So what? We brought him in to help us win games and he didn't. He played scared. He seemed to be focusing on not being a distraction so he could get a bigger contract.
Our concerns are not about getting a backup PG. We have House, Hudson, and possibily Pruitt and TA to play 10-12 minutes theree. We need to focus on getting talented bigs and decent wing player to back up Pierce and Ray.

As long as Wyc et al. open the wallet, it's not either/or. Marbury doesn't consume any MLE or LLE money.
