Do you think Marbury will be returning?

I seriously hope so. That would make our team even sweeter.
I don't see him going to the Kings or the Wizards. The latter has a better chance of acquiring him, but even so, they have a few other PG's, including Gilbert Arenas.
So whatdya say, Marbs? Give us one more shot so you can help us win #18!!!

Hopefully he does with a training camp under his belt. I really doubt money will end up being the determining factor in the end, then again you can never be too sure seeing as how this is purely business. I'd be more then happy to see him take a lower offer from us and get the chance to play for a legitimate contender; i.e. artests signing in LA just a few days ago. Being able to retain him and add Hill would leave us with a very potent 8 man rotation with the ability to add more role players.

with Grant Hill on the team we don't need Marbury. Grant can run the point which allows Eddie House to play more at the 2 and still he can guard the PG on D and Grant can slide over to guard the SG. My thing is this the Cs still need a defensives SF type player who can knock down shots. I think Grant Hill covers our lack of a back-up PG then he does in address our need for a defensive SF type.

I still hope he comes back, I said all along that with a training camp and full off-season with the team you would see the rust come off and a serious impact player off the bench
if he gets a big offer somewhere then u cant blame him, but i hope he doesnt go somewhere for cheap just to pad his stats and get paid again, he talked and acted like a pro while he was here and i would love to see it for a season
not to mention, packing the bench with former all-stars is always good.. .marbury, hill, sheed

Yeah, Marbury never even got to play one second with his boy KG---but I think Lue and KG are good friends.

I'd rather re-sign Marbury and sign Dahntay Jones than sign Grant Hill. Like Frank Lucas said, I don't see Hill being the defensive option we need coming off the bench, and NO, Tony Allen is not the answer either.
We'd be better off with Marbury and Jones IMO.
Jones was a starter for a team that reached the WCF last season, so that says something. Even if he was only a defensive specialist, that's pretty much what we need. He's like a much better version of TA.

I want Marbury back. He stunk last year, but that was due to not playing for so long. The Wizards are now reporting that they have no interest in Marbury, so I think he'll be back because no other team is offering him more than the minimum.

Funny, RealGM now is reporting that the Wizzards indicate they've never had interest in Marbury.
I'm expecting him back frankly, I have a hard time believing anyone is going to sign him to anything more than Vet Minimum.

Marbury needs to stop embarrassing himself and take what he can redeem himself like it's his last chance in NBA.

I disagree. Hill is a much better player than Jones. If he was 6-8 I would be interested but he can`t guard SF`s. Besides we have TA who is a better player than Jones. What can Jones do better than Allen? Nothing really, if TA got Jones` minutes in DEN he would be more effective, IMO.

TA is better than Jones?
I guess that could be true considering we had both on the roster 2 years ago and let go of Jones, but after watching TA the past 2 seasons, I don't know how. TA is a wreck when he has the ball and he's overrated defensively. At least Jones was competitive against Kobe and he's much more explosive and athletic than TA is now after all of his injuries.
IF TA is so good, why doesn't he play much? And when he does play, why is it painful to watch? I'm not pointing this specifically at you, I'm asking all C's fans who thinks he's as good as some build him up to be.

Agreed, plus no one else wants him!

No one else wants him, except the three teams in the article from the other day according to his agent AKA the Players Association.
But you know how the Player's Association likes to spin!

Maybe in Tony's dreams, but in real life Dahntay Jones is much better.

I think once Marbs sees us sign Wallace and Hill, and realizes his chance of winning a ring ....he'll be back for one year at just what we offered. 1.3 mil
