We all know we need a back up point or mayb a 3string PG behind Eddie or even Pruitt. So I went thru the list of FA and RST FA and I think we might be able to get some good value for a cheap rate. Yall Choose and tell me what yall think.
(in no special order)
Lisndy Hunter- Pesky defender very old but can give u a few mins here and there.
A. I.- WOW how that would be lovely but highly unable to happen.
Sarunas Jasikevicius- last played for GSW was alright when he played in MINN. havent heard alot latly
FLIP MURRAY- Would be a beast coming off the bench good size and vet PG. Had good nums last yr
Smush Parker- Played good ball in LA lil while back and a VET who can still play and good size.
Darrell Armstrong- VERY VERY OLD! Docs boy and can give u a few mins here and there.
Carlos Arroyo- Can ball and a VET both internationally and NBA.
Ronnie Price- Played good in Uath last yr alright but can be serviceable.
Restricted FA
Juan Carlos Navarro- Good point played well in the last few yrs can be had for a cheap trade. Plus Chris Wallace is a fool so maybe DA can get him for peanuts.
Mike Wilks- Can be serviceable
Jarrett Jack- Would be a incriable steal wow him and Rondo prob the best PG duo in the NBA.
So I am a big fan of JACK, FLIP, and Arroyo all can be had for cheap money vet min. What do yall think?

also, the RFA players aren't even worth thinking about, since all we have is the vet min or even the LLE. their teams would just match that.

Jack would be great but other that, Tyron Lue kind of kicks that lists ass.

Re: AVA PG WHO MIGHT FIT THE BILL
Any PG that can come in on limited minutes, run a decent offense, and hit an open 3 here and there, and not turn the ball over will do the job just fine in my opnion ...

I'd take Jack over Lue in a heartbeat.

There is absolutely no chance that Jask would be available for the minimum, which I don't think that he even qualifies for yet.He is only 25 years old. The dude started over TJ Ford last season. I'd take him in a heartbeat, but I think he is staying in Indy.
Flip Murray would be a decent addition, considering that we have nothing at the time being. Have never really liked him as player, and I don't think that Atlanta is just going to let him go.
Navarro is most likely staying in Europe. Didn't like it here.''
Smush is the Tony Allen of point guards.
Arroyo and Price would be good additions.

Put me down for Jarrett Jack. Can we sign a petition or sumthin'? Maybe some political pressure will make Indy cough him up.

Re: AVA PG WHO MIGHT FIT THE BILL
First off, Jack played 33+ minutes last season, I dont see him wanting to sign with Boston to play bench behind Rondo or even Ray Allen ... minutes will be scarce, and hes too young to "sacrafice" ... But Flip Murray on the other hand could be an interesting sign. He is capable on scoring in bunches. But, he will most likely play SG, which is what we have Eddie House for ... and both have similair games and are too short to play time at SF ....

Re: AVA PG WHO MIGHT FIT THE BILL
Sarunas and Navarro are not playing in the NBA again - they're big stars in Europe who didn't like their experiences here. Navarro is in the midst of a 5-year contract with Regal F.C. Barcelona and is the current Euroleague’s MVP (no ties to Memphis and Wallace.)
Arroyo is tied in to a 3 year contract with Macabi Tel-Aviv in Israel.
I think a handful of others on this list are not as easily had as you may think. As been said, Jack is by far the best and not an LLE player.

Re: AVA PG WHO MIGHT FIT THE BILL
Gabe Pruitt>>>>Lue & Ronnie Price. Marcus Banks >> Smush Parker. Flip Murray played well last season but isn't really a PG. Jack is nice but wouldn't be cheap and isn't the greatest ballhandler given his value and our needs.
One of Danny's strengths is being patient and not signing guys who suck just to cave into fan sentiment...
AI - sure. I guess it would have to be a sign & trade for Baby. His rumored interest in playing for the Grizzlies worries me on two levels, though. First, it shows that winning does not come before a potentially high salary, second it shows obliviousness to how he would plan on helping a team. The Grizz wouldn't benefit with AI taking minutes from Mayo.
Anthony Parker is a guy with back-up PG skills and would arguably be a better option as a back up PG than most options listed here. Unfortunately, sounds like the Cavs are about to sign him to a 2 year deal worth only 6 mil.

Re: AVA PG WHO MIGHT FIT THE BILL
Random, but what about Bobby Jackson ... he played well last yr, hes a vet, and can probably play the "Sam Cassell" type role for the team for a yr ... just a thought

Re: AVA PG WHO MIGHT FIT THE BILL
I love old grizzled PG's, they are so boring and predictable but so what? They fill a need. Jack is so far from an option for us its mind boggling. He outplays TJ Ford for half the year, and Ford will Likely command at least MLE money next yr, so there goes that idea.
BTW, if we expect any of our "project" players to succeed, we have to slot a passing PG next to them, or they wont get quality passes to work with. A pass-first PG who wont make dumb plays is the ticket folks.
Someone called into 96.3 WEEI earlier today and suggested Andre Miller as our backup PG. I love it when people call sports radio with absolutely absurd ideas and subsequently get pounded by the show hosts
