Garnett's Rehab Is Ahead of Schedule

Post#1 » by bc legends » Fri Jul 10, 2009 8:34 pm

Celtics forward Kevin Garnett has told the Boston Herald that his rehabilitation is ahead of schedule.

"I'm feeling great," Garnett said of his surgically-repaired right knee. "If (team trainer) Ed Lacerte wasn't here or if we didn't have so many people around, I'd take off running right now."

Garnett underwent arthroscopic surgery and had bone spurs removed from the knee in late May.

"My rehab is going really well," Garnett said. "I'm ahead of schedule. At this point, I'm just trying to continue to heal and continue to get stronger."

Definitely a good sign as the new season approaches. He addressed this topic at Sheeds press conference the other day aswell.

Hopefully he's 110% soon, and he STAYS that way. That's what worries me the most, staying 100% healthy.

I think that's irrelevant. The surgery is removing the bone spurs. KG's mystery knee injury cannot be fixed by surgery, given all information I know.

Agreed bluewhale, Not really concerned with the bone spurs. The real question is how is the ligament healing?

He says He already feels great, which is a good thing. I don't recall him saying he felt good at all last year, even when he had his brief stint back.
