The Grizzlies have waived veteran Jerry Stackhouse, just one day after acquiring him in a four-team, eight-player trade, according to an Associated Press report.
GM Chris Wallace announced the move Friday after Thursday's deal involving the Grizzlies, Mavericks, Raptors and Magic.

What do you guys think?

I didn't like him yesterday when someone made a thread about him and today I feel the same. He hasn't been healthy since the 2002-03 season.

IMO, He is like plan E for the backup wing. Now that Grant Hill resigned with the Suns. I think we should go after Matt Barnes.

id put my preference this way. Barnes,Daniels, whomever I am forgeting...... Stackhouse. Honestly I think rather Giddens and Walker get the minutes before id sign Stack.

I would just as soon see Walker get some playing time...
He looks like he could really be something special, given the chance....he's very athletic and seems intelegent enough to understand his his role...He just needs some playing time with the core group IMO...
It would be great to see our young players develop and spell the vets!...
I say give them the chance to do this.. you can always pick someone up at the trade deadline if this sort of theory just dosen't pan out....

honestly with the balance of a team.
I'd like to see a freak of a person as our main wing backup. Someone extremely athletic, extremely strong. A reliable dribbler to bring the ball up court, and hopefully a great defender.
But at our prices we'll have to settle for a getting 2 out of 4 would be a great job.
Stackhouse is none of those.

Stackhouse has had basicly twice as many seasons shooting under 41% then has had shooting over, we can do better. he has never been a great defender he is a volume scorer and as a backup wont get the volume he needs, no thanks.

Stackhouse was in the same draft as Garnett, Wallace, McDyess and Joe Smith so his age shouldn't be an issue.

Stackhouse is Rasheed's old teammate at UNC.

No. With all the old players, we need some young energetic legs off the bench. That's why we need to keep BBD.

Players age differently. Look at the rest of that draft
