Ok, first off I tried to trade with every team. Most I'm not posting because I'm positive they wouldn't work. I didn't include Scalabrine, House, or Walker in these trades for depth purposes.I also assumed we'd be signing Robert Swift (I'm o.k. with it but not blown away like I used to be about it.) With that in mind and not much to work with to begin with, I think this is decent material.

DENVER
Renaldo Balkman for Tony Allen. "I think its doubtful after the Afflalo signing but would be for it."

CLIPPERS
Ricky Davis and Mike Taylor for Tony Allen and Gabe Pruitt. "Ricky at the three and share the two with House while House shares the one with Mike a decent solid back up point with upside.

MIAMI
Dorell Wright and Chris Quinn for Tony Allen and J.R. Giddens "I'm not sure about Miami on this one but I'd do it"

MINNESOTA
Corey Brewer and Bobby Brown for Tony Allen and J.R. Giddens " Same goes for this one Minnesota might not bite at it"

NETS
Jarvis Hayes for Tony Allen " SF for SG helps both if you ask me"

PHOENIX
Louis Amundson and Goran Dragic for Tony Allen and Gabe Pruitt. " This one would be awesome but in same boat as Minny and Miami not being convinced."

I also want to add I don't think we will sign big baby and hope we have a roster spot open for Leon Powe later on in the year. Be cool and all these checked out on trade tracker. I also tried to make sure we didn't pick up to much salary after this year outside of Taylor for $854,389 and Balkman for the Qualifying offer of $2,918,906 and team option of Brewer for $3,703,472 and the the guarantee of Goran for next year of $1,972,000.
All of that make us better and I can live with those numbers, happy hazings.
g out.

I know Ricky Davis is a lil coo koo...but i always liked him....he could cov3er the 2 and 3...and yeah yeah...I know he left on bad terms (didnt he??)...and isn't a winner....but still think he'd work...having said that....we wont trade for him.

Nice dieas except for the last one. Those two just aren't worth the roster space, IMO. Would love to buy low on Brewer, but I don't think that they bite on that offer. If the did, I'd be worried about whether Brewer would ever be healthy again.

Brewer was the guy I was think of in regards tyo the Gomes thread. Some one said Gomes was the starting 3...I'm sure it was Brewer til he got injured...but thats OT really.

I would pick the corey brewer trade, not a big fan of any of the others; the one for wright and quinn would be alright too

but i do wonder whether Kahn likes the signing that mchale of gomes last year, or if he wants to rid himself of either brewer or gomes and continue with only one of them, because they are quite similar

if he does want to get rid of them for expiring contracts i hope we would be right there waiting, but i doubt he does

I guess there is an outside chance that he is high on giddens and walker and would look into dealing gomes for TA (expiring contract) plus a shooting guard, which they only have one on there roster, giddens, and walker

if i am danny trying to convince kahn to make this deal i would probly harp on the points that

that trade would give them and expiring contract, and two young wing players with a little higher upside than gomes (but a much lower floor), because what your gonna get with gomes now is probly what your going to continue getting from him 4 and 5 years down the road, he is a solid role player off the bench that would be great for a championship caliber team, but his skills dont really cater to a young team looking for another star to play with jefferson

while tony showed before his injuries that he can be a scoring threat in the nba, and if he could return to that form he could be a steal in this trade, i know he is terrible in boston, maybe all he needs is a change of scenery and some consistent minutes, and if it doesnt work out he at least saves you some money

giddens and walker have more of the tools it takes to be good scorers in this league than does gomes, if walker can develop a jumpshot to go along with his athleticism he would definitely be a force, and giddens fares well against pretty much all the competition he has faced up to this point, it looks like he just needs to get his shot (oh and improve his shooting and ballhandling a bit)

but all these guys you are getting back can play the two and provide excellent defense if nothing else

imagine letting a defensive back court of giddens, walker, and brewer grow together, surely it would be the best thing for the timberwolves to do moving forward, not to mention it clears the path for brewer to make it into the starting lineup and start to grow as a player, he was your lottery pick from a couple of years ago, gomes was merely a throw in by boston in there attempt to get KG

anyhow i think that trade might benefit both teams and i would love to see it happen

Balkman would be a great pick up. I have advocated a trade for him before. He is high energy, good defender and not a bad shooter.

Luke Ridnour could probably be had for cheap, he'd be a solid backup for Rondo.

I endorse the DEN-MIA-MIN-PHO ideas. Especially the Balkman one.
