Paul feels his time in NO could be up........

Post#1 » by Kefa461 » Fri Jul 17, 2009 12:37 pm

"In this league, anything can happen," said Paul, at the summer league to watch his Hornets. "I can be dealt."

Paul then was asked that surely he can't be serious he could be traded.

"It's possible," he said. "It's possible."
Paul is hopeful the Hornets will end up retaining their key players, but knows nothing is certain.

"Right now, it looks like the same cast," he said. "But, if something happens, it happens. ... Me and (forward James Posey say to one another that) we've got to work with what we've got and go out and play hard."

Posey hopes the Hornets won't end up again dealing Chandler.

"You never want to see it," Posey said. "But I'm a player and my job is to go out there and play hard. ... You can't control that part of it (the Hornets' money situation). You've got to control what you can."

Hopefully we can trade Rondo, Baby and filler for him. I'd be willing to take one of their big contracts like Posey.

You do realize that Paul and Posey will make a combined 19.8 million next year right?

But yeah hopefully we can trade Rondo, Baby and filler for him
Reggie stood out like a sore thumb no tattoos no agenda no chirping nothing Just a guy who could score at will He played college ball at Northeastern he replaced Larry as Celtics captain he belonged to Boston.
And I still miss him. Even now.

:D I guess the filler would have to be Ray Allen.

New Orleans might be willing to waive Ray thus allowing him to come back to us. This would save them a ton of money.

I honestly don't know if you are messing with us or dead serious about the stuff you post.

What I'd say about this is that Rondo/Ray for Paul is very comparable, or actually the Celtics giving up more value than when they traded for KG.

If the Hornets are really trying to shed salary at all costs that's the only way this move could possibly happen. My assumption is that that's probably unlikely and I think that the Celtics would have to take back New Orleans least desirable contract.

Chris Paul is a loser, attitude-wise...I love his game but his attitude and body-language during the playoffs last season were pretty dire...
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

Something tells me he'd be alot happier playing alongside Pierce, KG, and Rasheed Wallace.

It's an immense stretch to imply his words mean that "Paul feels his time in NO could be up". All players know they could traded, no matter how unlikely. Only an idiot would reply to the press that they're so valuable to their team that there is no way they will ever be traded. If he had, that would be the headline.

Sometimes I think reporters are out there with absolutely no idea what to do about a story. So they ask an obvious question just so they can write something to meet a deadline.

There are about 450 players in the NBA, if you asked any of them this question, you'd get essentially the same answer.

cfan with lowball offers again.

Anyways, I don't expect the Hornets to trade Paul. He's the best player New Orleans has ever had.

If they do trade him, it will set the franchise back 10+ years.

If NO traded Paul their attendance would hit negative numbers.

He is a top 3 franchise player in this league along with lebron, and durant or howard IMO. I would venture to say he has the kind of impact on a game that lebron has, and I would happily argue that with anyone. I think with the hornets taking such a sorry step backwards this past season he was really disheartened and now it will likely take a change of scenery for him to regain that heart.

But it would take a miracle and a can of Planters cheese balls (which are impossible to find now, maybe Ebay) for Boston to acquire CP3 anytime soon.

Of course I know this won't happen, but it can't hurt to offer Ray/Rondo/Scal for Paul/Peja. It's fun to dream.
