KG's status?

Post#1 » by jazzfan1971 » Tue Jul 21, 2009 8:52 pm

Can someone inform me on KG's status, to include what his injury was, when he got it, and how he's doing when and how well he's expected back, etc?

Thanks.

Dude, you waited like 2 mins between posts.

Anyways, he's expected back at 100% by opening night.

He had 2 issues, there was a tendon strain and a bone spur issue

the bone spurs were surgically removed as soon as the season ended

the tendon issue was always a wait til it heals type thing, last update from KG is that he has no pain anymore and will start training soon

Well, 21 folks viewed in that '2 mins'. I assumed that it must be a question with no answer.

To be fair it still remains kind of nebulous what happened. Our front office is not very upfront with the fanbase, but since we win it isn't a huge issue.

There's a lot of traffic on this board, it's one of the bigger ones on the net devoted to the Cs. There are quite a few lurkers that just sit and watch the talk, I know I was one myself for a while.

As for KG news, the news is all positive. Like someone stated above he had some spurs and some trouble with the tendon. The spurs were removed and the other thing should go away healing in time. KG has said there is no pain and he should be 100% ready to go. Of course... there are always the doubters because he said a simliar thing when he tried to come back in the middle of last season. Hopefully he's good to go.

bone spurs removed, lig rested. if we had made the finals, he would have played. will be g2g by training camp.

that being said, i wouldn't draft him high on the fantasy teams. with sheed here, and most likely baby coming back u can be sure in regular season games KG will play no more then 35mpg, and most likely average around 32 or so. also, i would not doubt they will hold him out for some back to backs against the lesser opponents. giving sheed the start and baby more backup mins.

it's the playoffs where he'll play 38mpg again and baby will wave towels.

Yeh i expect low minutes and a 14/8 or so regular season

which will be plenty enough, playoffs is where his health counts and his minutes will increase
