OT: Favorite team to cheer after the C's?
I was poking through stats from the SL and got to thinking about other teams that will be fun to watch/root for this year. I love the C's and attend games as often as possible, but I love the game itself much more. For years my favorite player was Gerald Wallace, but now that im more familiar with the game I prefer rooting for teams in general rather than just 1 player.
So heres a topic that rarely finds its way on a team-based board - who's your secret #2 team crush? For those of you with team loyalty insecurities, flame away.
For me its Washington. I'm a huge Butler fan, Arenas is wildly entertaining, Jamisons play style reminds me of my own (unorthodox looking shots around the hoop from years of practice), always liked Mike Miller and was sorry to see him have such an off year, and Blatche/McGuire are quite the physical specimens - long armed, athletic freaks, who made the best big man duo in the SL. I'm curious to see how they and Haywood play together. I bet Washington's front court leads the L in blocks this season.

Nobody. I only bleed green. Everyone else is the enemy.

I'm a Steve Nash fan, so I'll have his team as a second choice. It's a comfortable option because, sorry Steve, I just don't see a Boston/Phoenix final ever happening.

Easily the Thunder. Kevin Durant is my favorite non-Celtic. He is going to make upcoming basketball players realize you don't need the ridiculous athleticism/body structure like a LeBron James to be a great NBA player.
I can only hope that one day he wears a Boston Celtics uniform.

I live in Phoenix so the suns are horrible as the owner is, also the bulls and minny, I am originally from kansas and like to follow where my KU players go, and of course being a child of the 80's in a city that did not have an NBA team everyone loved mj and the bulls, minny to follow the old celts

I bleed rainbow colors, green first.
I'm a Warriors fan, too. After that Portland, then Minnesota.
I live/born in NY so I would like to see Knicks and Nets in the playoffs, but not holding my breath or getting bent out of shape about it.

I only give a real cheer for the celtics.
But I love great games. No matter who is playing. So if the knicks are playing and they hit a buzzer beater, even though it is new york I will still jump up and get excited.

1. Celtics - derp
2. Blazers - became a bandwagon fan in the 90s
3. Kings - watching them get robbed by the dreadful Lakers made me sympathize for them

Just yankin yer chain because of the NY reference.
A great ball game, no matter if it's the Knicks or Mansfield High can and will get me riled up.
The only 2nd teams I've followed with any regularity would be the Wolves post-KG and Jailblazers era-Portland.

Re: OT: Favorite team to cheer after the C's?
Really only root for the C's. Only a couple of teams that I really root against, those being Lakers and Pistons (old hatreds die hard). I don't even care about the Sixers anymore, they've been so irrelevant.
I suppose the one team that I'd like to see do well other than the C's is the T-Wolves, and only because of the Celtic connection there. Got pretty attached to Al and Gomes, but truthfully don't much care about them (Wolves) either.
