Why would they trade Miller who they traded the #5 pick for, for scraps?

Mike Miller belongs in the WNBA. And you want to include BBD. Daniels will be backing up Pierce and Ray Allen. Miller can shot but the aren't enough minutes available for him here.

They traded the 5th pick mostly to get Randy Foye. Plus they've got an abundance of guards while Memphis has a lot of bigs.

New Roster

Perkins/R.Wallace/Free Agent
KG/R.Wallace
Pierce/M.Miller/B.Walker
R.Allen/M.Daniels/Giddens
Rondo/House/Hudson

Mike can shoot, but his breasts maybe a locker room distraction.

4 for Mike Miller doesnt cut it for me. Doesnt play Celtics defense either.

No they didn't, Foye isn't worth the 5th in any draft. They needed Miller's outside shooting and Foye was added so they trade was fair (along with some bad contracts).

Is Chris Wallace the GM of Memphis AND Washington?

We should have a stickied Cfan trade thread where everyone else can post there off-the-wall ideas as well.

Because a last year, the below was proposed and we all know what happened next:

The Los Angeles Lakers have acquired forward Pau Gasol in a trade with the Memphis Grizzlies, it was announced today by General Manager Mitch Kupchak. The Lakers will also receive the Grizzlies second round draft choice in 2010. In exchange Memphis will receive forward Kwame Brown, guard Javaris Crittenton, guard Aaron McKie (who the Lakers signed earlier today), the draft rights to Marc Gasol and first round picks in 2008 and 2010.

lojo, we're aware of the Gasol deal, but that trade actually made sense for at least one side. I can't say the same for any of these ridiculous suggestions, especially this one.

Here's my theory: cfan's got all the NBA rosters posted up on a wall, with a separate roster of the Celtics adjacent. He throws on a sombrero and some mariachi music, takes a few shots of tequila, closes his eyes and fires darts at the wall until he's got enough of both. He then proceeds to run it through the trade checker until one of em sticks, and the next trade proposal is born.

That's the most plausible thing I could think of.
