I'm getting worried, why isn't there anything about this?

It's been a week and it still seems to be on a stone-cold stand.
I'm seriously getting worried.

Marc Spears says it will be over in a day or 2........

The Boston Celtics and Indiana Pacers will likely decide by the end of the week whether guard Marquis Daniels(notes) will receive Boston’s $1.99 million biannual exception or come to the team via a sign-and-trade deal. A sign-and-trade would allow the Celtics to save their biannual exception and potentially give Daniels a higher salary. Based on salary, Boston guard Tony Allen(notes) could be the best option (he’ll make $2.5 million this season) to go to Indiana in a sign-and-trade.

I am literally praying that we can dump TA in this deal

Theres no need to worry as far as him coming here or not. Him and his agent both said he committed to the Celtics. THey don't say that and that back track, esp the agent. If he did, teams would take notice and then be suspect when dealing w/that agent in the future. The agent wont put his rep on the line. They would just say nothing and see where it goes.

I am worried becasue I want to get rid of TA so bad and keep or Bi Annual. If we can keep the Bi Annual, great chance Steph is back too. If we have to use it onDaniels, then I dont think Steph will be back.

I Tweeted Daniels last night asking anyword, no response yet. However, he seems to respond to a ton aof people on there so I have my hopes up

Don't worry. It's called Poker. The Indiana owner will likely make the call, although Larry will get to make a recommendation. Such is the reality of owners and front men. And Larry is definately a front man, but from his press conferences, someone will have to explain the obvious to him. There have been hints in his press conferences, but Larry isn't sophisticated enough to pick up on them. That is why, after 25 years of officially staying on the sidelines, Larry's boss had to officially place himself over Larry less than a week after Larry took over for Donnie Walsh. Larry didn't want to bother to give his owner the courtesy of a few phone calls every day (which Donny Walsh had done for 25 years).

Indiana will walk away with something, even if it's cash, a pick or two, or a player or two. I doubt that there are any takers for Brian Scalabrine, even though Scalabrine would fit great in Atlanta, since Atlanta is over the cap and can't simply accept Scal (you have to add salaries for players as if 13 players were under contract even though only 9 may be signed).

Anyway, something will happen by the end of the week. That's the deadline for the Celtics to exercise their option on Pruitt. And by exercising the option, whichever team gets him gets to deal with him as a Restricted Free Agent next summer rather than as an Unrestricted Free Agent.

My guess it will be Tony Allen + either Pruitt or Hudson. Whether Indiana wants them isn't the point, they can both be re-routed by Indiana to other teams for a pick or cash. That is what Indiana would end up with. And if Indiana walks away with $3 million cash and a second round pick (from the team(s) receiving Tony Allen and Gabe Pruitt), that's more than they would get if they didn't do the sign & trade.

I'd think more than that.

I think he'll get more than 20 minutes per game. He should get all the minutes behind Pierce at SF and then he should get some good guard minutes as well.

Yeah I see him logging 25 minutes a game easy, he's too good to play less than that.

Someone will probably be going with TA to Indy, weather it be Pruitt, Walker, or Giddens. We probably won't know till we get Davis saga finished. Listening to Celtics Live tonite they said there could be a sign and trade with the Nets happening with Davis, and that is what is most likely holding up the Daniels situation.

Definitely have to agree with him getting more than 12-15 minutes per. Quisy is at least a 20-25 minute per player, even on a great team like the C's. You guys are gonna like him a lot, as long as he's healthy. He only averaged 57 games a season in his 3 seasons with us.

Since the Pacers FO is trying to steer clear of any Players with questionable offcourt issues...if Tony Allen was a requirement that must be included in the trade by Ainge, I don't think that the Pacers would do it unless there was some deal in place that would send him to a 3rd Team as you suggest ( hence the rumor that the Pacers and Celtics are looking for a 3rd Team to get involved ) or the Celtics included ( at a minimum ) $$$ to buy out Allen's contract while including some additional incentive. As a Pacer fan that recognizes that they need some depth at the GF spot....we're hoping for Walker.....but as you suggest, if the Pacers could swing Allen to another Team while getting back some $$$ ( or some other prospect ) and some 2nd round pick....I'd live with it since ( as you suggest ), it's better then nothing.

The Pacers and Celtics are expected to further discuss a sign-and-trade for Marquis Daniels this week.

Since Daniels agreed to join Boston, Indiana has signed a few players to low-cost, short-term deals. They have signed, re-signed or agreed to terms with Earl Watson, Solomon Jones and Josh McRoberts over the last week.

Because of that, the Pacers aren't expected to push a sign-and-trade if they believe they are only landing their fourteenth or fifteenth player.

Does that mean they won't accept Tony Allen and Giddens, then?

Technically, they can.....right now, the Pacers roster is at 13...so, yes....the Pacers can take back any 2 Players. The problem is that the liklihood of Allen ending up in the trade is IMHO low unless he is going somewhere else as part of of 3 Team trade or some $$$ is included to buy him out on top of whatever incentive the Celtics or some 3rd team include in the deal.
