OT: Hakim Warrick decides on a one-year deal with MIL

Word is Hakim Warrick, transformed from a restricted free agent to an unrestricted free agent last week when the Grizzlies withdrew their qualifying offer, is deciding between Cleveland, Philadelphia and Milwaukee and could choose his new team as early as Friday.

The athletic power forward averaged 11.6 points and 5.0 rebounds last season for the Grizz. If the Cavs -- who still have their $1.9 million bi-annual exception to offer, as Brian Windhorst of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reminds -- could add Warrick to Anthony Parker and Jamario Moon, that would be three interesting bargains to supplement their trade for Shaquille O'Neal and the pricey re-signing of Anderson Varejao.

Are we really missing out on this guy? Not that he's untalented, but I see him as a tweener pf that's not quite a sf.

It would be nice if we have him to play for celtics but I highly doubt none of this will happen at all , who knows? I think danny should sign him and he would be more helpful and alot of tools comin out on the bench.

He'd be a decent fit on the Cavs. We're not really missing out on him. He's not a great defender @ PF and doesn't have the perimeter game to play SF. But the Cavs have little to come by in terms of inside offense without a guy like him considering they can't really rely on Shaq, and have sufficient depth elsewhere so they would only need to use him situationally.

If the Cavs only have the LLE exception to work with, we should at least be offering that, sign and trade for daniels.. and trade big baby for some added depth

I like Warrick

i think he'll sign with a lower team for a couple extra mil though

Cuz we ballin!! LOL just kidding with you guys. Warrick would fit us better since I really do not want Sideshow in the starting role. But a Warrick on KG or Sheed would make me lose sleep

As per wiretap, Warrick has agreed to sign with the Bucks.

Good signing with the Bucks.

I don't care if he is a "tweener" forward. That is something the Celtics don't have and could use.

I think it would've been interesting to see him play with Rondo.

Hakim Warrick, an athletic 6-foot-9 forward who played the past four seasons with the Memphis Grizzlies, has reached agreement with the Bucks on a one-year deal, sources indicated Friday.

Warrick is able to play both the small forward and power forward positions and should have an opportunity to start for the Bucks, who have lost Richard Jefferson (in a trade) and Charlie Villanueva (to free agency) this summer.
