Scal speaks........

“I’m incredibly psyched. Winning championships is something I want to continue to do. I felt we were the best team in the league last year, the year before, and we will be the best team in the league this year. The key thing for us is limiting guys’ minutes and being healthy. Our bench needs to be able to sustain leads or build them.
“Rasheed Wallace, if I had to name one guy that I’d want on our team he’d be the guy. The way Doc [ Rivers] uses power forwards, he’s a perfect fit for us. Defensively, he’s a dominant force and his basketball IQ is through the roof. [Daniels] is going to help Ray [ Allen] and Paul [ Pierce] get some rest throughout the season. And I’ve heard he can also play some point guard for us, so it would be nice to have him as backup, and maybe play with Eddie [ House] at [shooting guard]. He’s super versatile and that’s going to help us a lot.’’

nice take, but nothing new.

the team still has to shake down depending on what happens with BBD and Daniels. but we've got a pretty nice top-8 regardless.

"Winning championships is something I want to continue to do"

Scal making that statement infuriates me.

How bout he actually improved himself to make him worth his paycheck we've been stuck with for 4 years is he wants to "continue to do".

Or how bout he help the team by playing for the vet min he deserves and giving the other 3 million back to the franchise to limit the luxury tax hit that we're paying to cover holes in our roster that he can't fill because he sucks and the franchise is trying to win a championship while having him being our 3rd 4th option big?

Either of those two options would help this team greatly beyond having Scal be glued to the bench getting paid 3 million a year and then claim he has is "winning" championships. Hell I'd say Heinshon did about as much good for the Celts in the 2008 NBA Finals as Scal did.

no, this does not "infuriate" you. talk about exaturation.

It's not Scal's fault he was overpaid. It's not like he displays a lack of effort. Far from it. He knows what he can and can't do and tries his hardest both on the court, in the locker room, and on the bench.

Lmao..yea..he acts like he was a big part of the championship...Eddie House's son stepped on the court more than Scal did...

Scal put some decent stretches in last season when we had injuries, and that is what he is supposed to do.

We don't hear him bitching about minutes or touches, and when he plays, he plays hard and generally well.

He isn't a superstar but he is a Celtic.

Ainge and Scal both mentioning Daniels is encouraging considering nothing is yet official
